I have a wasp nest inside an outer wall where the vinyl siding meets the brick. I hung 3 bag traps that catch 10-20/day each, but it's not enough. I tried both Eco plant oil spray and dryer sheets thinking they'd abandon the nest because of the smell-not. I tried wasp "foaming" spray, but they just disperse when you spray, then fly back. I sprayed it into the cracks, but wasn't effective as it dissolves instantly.

So after all these attempts I thought I would try CS Foam. I zip tied a metal rod to the plastic tubing so I could jam it 3-4 inches under the siding. It foams up like crazy, similar to insulation foam, but less dense and thick. More like a light shaving cream foam. The foam lasts an hour. I stuck it into 3 mortar joints and sprayed 4-5 seconds until it spewed out. I did it midday when they were still active and soon there were a lot buzzing around trying to get in the cracks. Some landed on the foam and got stuck, but didn't die instantly. I put a rat glue board on a pole and left it at the main entrance. When I came back 1 hour later the glue board had 50 wasps plus a queen. I repeated this 2 more days and caught a second queen on day 2. So the glue board in combination with the foam seems to work best as it catches workers PLUS queens trying to get in. Not sold on the effectiveness of the foam by itself. I was hoping wasps would try to crawl through it. It seems it just prevents them from entering or leaving.

There is no nasty smell. It would be nice if it had an attractant that lured them to the foam and get stuck, otherwise not sure if it does anything.
