Emergency Fire Blanket Kit

Although not a replacement to a traditional fire extinguisher, a fire blanket can be a very useful adjunct to one, especially in the kitchen. Fire blankets work by smothering the fire. They work very well on small fires, and they are particularly useful in two common circumstances:

A small one pan grease firehere, you don't ruin the food and make a big mess by spraying chemicals over everything on the stove top.

When a person's clothing has caught on fireagain, here the chemicals could cause extra problems in a burn or if they get into the eyes or mouth.

Very happy with this purchase, especially for the price. A lot of these blankets (and some shown with the bag) do not come with the actual red bag. I have actually seen the bag WITHOUT the blanket selling for over $30.00 on this site. So a great deal buying this one that comes with both the fire blanket AND bag as shown here. The bag seems to be made out of canvas, not cheap plastic, and comes with two holes so you can hang the blanket on a wall. I have mine in the washer/dryer room located off the Kitchen where incidentally most fires start. I great buy.
