I used this product as directed hoping it would help relieve the redness and burning in my eyes. For me it was a waste of money. Visine does a better if not totally satisfactory job.

I liked it as soon as I held it. It has good weight without being too heavy. It's well balanced and not so smooth as to be too slippery. There are some machine markings on the one I got. Really well balanced making it easy to hold yet having enough heft to give consistent swings without needing to put in too much effort. The rubber ends are soft as not to be knee busters. A good Neurology resident hammer or EDC (every day carry) hammer.

I had one of the other pill crushers and, as another reviewer pointed it out, the threads would jam unless I split the pills into smaller pieces first. That was annoying enough that I went looking for something better. The Ultra Pill Crusher is it. This one works so well I have no need to pre-split anything. It is well thought out and well manufactured. The threads are long enough so you can get them completely started before coming up against a whole pill and they are smooth enough to turn easily. You spin the top down until it comes up against the pill and then a little effort easily breaks the pill. What is especially clever is the shape of the pill cavity. Both the bottom and top pieces are slightly conical. This gives the top a bit of a point which immediately breaks the pill with very little effort. And since the bottom is also conical, any pill crumbs fall towards the center so when you can back off a bit and re-tighten the top, everything is converted to powder. My co-workers and I in my hospital unit all think the crusher works just fine and we like the grip you can get on the top because it isn't justround. Only drawback is that the base edges are kind of sharp as most of us hold it in our hands while we are crushing meds.

I have a g-tube so all my meds have to be crushed to fit through the tubing. I have literally worn out pill crushers. I got this one thinking it would be easier on my hands to use since I take 40 pills a day. The top half is easy to grip but the bottom half hurts my hands to hold. The sharp edges/ridges on the bottom really cut into my hand. Why didn't the top design and materials get repeated on the bottom? Also, the internal action of the crusher doesn't crush the pills completely. The several times I have tried I have ended up pouring the pieces into my old worn out crusher to finish the job. I can't believe there isn't a crusher out there that works, is durable and is easy to grip. This one almost got it half right.

Ointment appears to work as it should (I don't have a professional microscope to check it out!), but I found the exact same product at a dollar store, so I've been ripped off a bit . Either way, I recommend buying these smaller tubes. I used to buy 1 oz. tubes but they often expire before you use them up, so these smaller ones are the way to go. One last thing---I've seen people apply ointment right on the wound---yuck! Always apply to a sterile bandage pad to keep the tube from getting contaminated.

Overall, the quality of bag is worth the entire price. It's thick. It's got strong buckles. It's got multiple pockets and zippers stuffed full of the listed items. It's also MOLLE compatible. There are nothing but pluses to this product. I received this as a gift after putting it on my wishlist and it went unavailable, I was worried I wouldn't be able to buy it. Hopefully they will restock and others can buy this product.It is not a complete pack, however. Using the SAS Survival Guide to finish the pack, it needs finger splints, a universal splint, scalpels, maybe a quickclot package or two, a combat tourniquet (it has one but an Israel style would be a little better), and some assorted pills (more tylenol, anti-diarrhea tablets, etc). The good thing about the pack is it will handle all of those items and still have a little room left.
I look forward to never having to use this but knowing it's there and full. Oh yeah, I also found a shoulder strap at the bottom of the bag. It can be attached via MOLLE or carried by your shoulder. It's an excellent product and will go with me on hunting trips and car rides. It's a very specific kit made to handle bleeding. I'll post a video review soon.

Occasionally I will recommend hydrogen peroxide to my dental patients to treat stubborn dental gum infections at home. Since most gum infections (gum disease) is caused and furthered by bacteria that cannot grow in an oxygen rich environment, it makes sense to flood their environment with a molecule that releases oxygen, like hydrogen peroxide.First have your teeth thoroughly scaled and cleaned by a dental professional. Then, when you floss, dip the floss in a mixture of 50% hydrogen peroxide and floss between the teeth, getting the floss as far down as possible under the gumline. Do every tooth contact twice and do this twice a day. It will cut down the pathogenic disease-causing organisms in the dental gum tissues pockets. It must be done consistently to have a lasting effect.
This is certainly not a cure-all since it cannot reach to the depth of deeper gum pockets. However, it will help to kill the organisms that cause gum disease. It is best used when the disease is relatively recent and has not caused extensive pocketing or bone loss.
One can finish the process by dipping ones toothrush in the 50% mixture of hydrogen peroxide and brushing the teeth and gums. Afterwards, one should rinse with water, as hydrogen peroxide leaves a an aftertaste that is not pleasent.

Not too long ago, I read of a variety of ways to have fresher breath. One of the ways was to vigorously rinse the mouth with a 50% mixture of hydrogen peroxide and water for at least a minute prior to brushing. Then give the teeth a good brushing. Oxygen is death to bacteria and hydrogen peroxide is simply a water molecule with an extra atom of oxygen attached, which it readily releases to kill bacteria. Don't expect a miracle immediately as you may have an overwhelming amount of bacteria. Plus, it's good to have your teeth cleaned regularly. I recently had them cleaned and I've now been using this rinse and brush method for about a month. I can feel my mouth getting fresher day by day. (#1 REVIEWER)I always have a bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide at home. It has so many uses! I use 50% solution of water and H.P. almost daily to clean my toothbrush. Sometimes I use the same solution to brush my teeth. It whitens the teeth well, although it does not taste great. However a little rinse with water fixes the after taste.I used to use Hydrogen Peroxide for scrapes as well. Recently I fell and got a pretty nasty gash on my shin (4 inch by 0.25 inch). Because I was traveling I did not treat the wound as well as I should and got an infection. In a few weeks when I had to see the doctor to treat the infection, I asked what I should have used to clean the wound to avoid the problem next time.
Surprisingly, the doctor told me that Hydrogen Peroxide should not have been my first choice. The doctor said that H.P. does clean but also damages the healthy tissue and this prolongs healing. The doctor said that studies show that the best way to clean the wound is with plenty of plain water and soap and pressure on the wound to remove the debris. Hydrogen Peroxide should only be used if there is no access to clean water. So it should be in your emergency kit when you hike but not your first choice if there is access to soap and water.
Hope this helps someone to avoid a slow healing infection.
P.S. A note on price. My local grocery store sell 16 oz bottle for $1.50, I saw similar prices in a local pharmacy.

When we had our newborns, the hospital used nonsterile gauze instead of baby wipes, along with water. This was less irritating than baby wipes, and also much, much cheaper.But when we left the hospital, we couldn't find these in the store anywhere. I purchased a few different gauzes from Amazon, before I finally figured out that we needed the "nonwoven" type.
These 4x4 nonwoven nonsterile packages are perfect for wiping baby's bottom! Soft and absorbent. We found the medline brand to be slightly softer than the dynarex(sp?) brand.

When my newborns were at the hospital, they told us they use gauzes and warm water and not baby wipes. They recommended we do the same when home so we had a hard time finding something equivalent. This is very close to what the hospital uses, just a bit thinner. I went to Thailand and was terrified of mosquitoes, since my friends said they got eaten up by them. I used this product and I didn't get bit anywhere, except where I didn't apply, like my face, ears, and behind my knees and elbows. It worked great wherever it was applied. My friend who used Off spray got bit even if he used the product. The product does leave a slight waxy film on you after application, but it seems that all deet products leave some film and it's something you have to get used to if you want to protect yourself from mosquito bites. I get welts from mosquito bites and would rather tolerate the waxy feel than the bites.
Some people may be weary of putting it near their eyes, but when they say it's splash and sweat resistant, they mean it. I put it on above my eyebrows and directly below my eyelids, and didn't get any in my eyes at all, and trust me, while we were out finding firewood at 10pm-2am (yes we're a little on the adventurous side), I was sweating like nobody's business. This stuff hung in like a champ.
In comparison, my brother was using Off spray (can't remember which kind), and had to keep reapplying it almost every hour, and was still getting bit. I offered him mine, but he's "a man", and "don't take no charity from nobody."
Also, the tube may look a bit small, but you don't need much of it. Even with a thin coat on, it keeps the bugs away.

So we had just taken a trip to the Peruvian Amazon Rainforest and needless to say there were a lot of mosquitoes there. The stuff works as long as you dont sweat. As soon as you start sweating the deet stops working. But thats the case with any Deet product. This stuff is greasy and i put it on my face and surprisingly I didnt break out from it. However I would get this and also make sure to get a permethrin clothes spray as well bc the mosquitoes will go through all clothing and sit there too! I spent two weeks in the dengue and malaria-carrying mosquito coast of Colombia.
