I have used all the chest seals. Bolin, HyFin, Asherman, 3inch tape and an MRE wrapper. My fellow enlisted medic buddy described it as "...a sticky piece is sticky." It's the only one that really works in all conditions.Hope I never have to use it. Unlike most seals, it comes in pairs in case you are leaking on both sides.Bought this on recommendation of a tactical trauma instructor.
It's a little more expensive than other chest seals but you get two in the pack and this one is flat compared to other types with valves. So it fits into a small MOLLE medic pack easier. These are great occlusives. The only problem is that they are not foldable or rollable and the packaging is relatively large so you need to carry these against the side of a large pack like a over the shoulder or backpack style kit. These will not fit in a fanny pack or other small to medium size kits. You need a flat storage space about the size of a sheet of paper.Very high quality. Sometime the most important part of these medical dressings is the packaging, which in this case culd not be better. If you plan on giving your kit serious use the items inside mus stand up to being moved, folded, and such. This product will.= and could save a life.
