This product is sturdy and well designed. The top is securely attached to the bottom with a threaded knob. You can put sand in the base to keep it from blowing over in a strong wind. There is a special hole near the ground where you can attach a padlock and chain to keep it in place. The metal bucket inside is large and substantial. This receptacle exceeded my expectations in ALL respects. It has almost completely solved the problem we had with dozens of butts on the ground outside the building.
