I purchased this for our homeschool group's library. We had a crisis involving a child in our group last year, who needed CPR. Thankfully someone was able to help, but it reminded me of how important it is to know how to respond when someone stops breathing or their heart stops. This set taught my three oldest children (ages 12, 10 and 8) what to do -from recognizing the person in distress, to calling for help, to knowing how and when to do rescue breathing and CPR, and also how to use an AED defibrillator device. My 8 year old and our younger children were not quite strong enough, but they are familiar with the process. This set is perfect for large families who want to know how to respond, but don't currently have the opportunity or finances for everyone to take formal CPR classes.
