Howard Leight MAX Lite Foam Ear Plugs Uncorded NRR 30 (20 Pair)

I am a light sleeper, all kinds of noises wake me up. I got my first good night of sleep after wearing a pair of Flents Quiet Time Soft Comfort Foam Ear Plugs. Unfortunately, they were from batch of NR31s which are no longer made so I needed to find a better alternative.

After some research, I found the Max Lite LPF-1 and I can sleep more soundly for longer stretches. I usually get woken up by my neighbors bickering every night at 1am, and after wearing these, no more! I have also used the pink and yellow Howard Leight LL1 Laser Lites which you can usually pick up at CVS locally. I measured with a ruler and it looks like both the LPF-1 and LL1 are the same size width-wise (~9mm), but the LPF-1 is more comfortable to me because of the low pressure foam for my smaller ear canals. The LL1s will block more noise since they are rated NRR32 and the LPF-1 is rated NRR29. But if you have smaller ear canals that get irritated by other larger earplugs, the Max Lites may be a good alternative.

These earplugs cannot completely block out loud noises such as honking horns, but it will block out quieter ambient noises such as a car speeding by, people talking outside, car doors slamming, light snoring, hovering helicopters, etc. They have allowed me to sleep through my cat meowing for food or scratching at the door in the morning.

I did notice after wearing one pair of earplugs consistently for about 2 weeks, they stopped blocking out as much noise. After switching to a new pair, the problem was gone, so make sure you replace them periodically.

According to the packaging, these are made in the USA. If you like these, they also come in a 200 industrial sized pack on Amazon.

Side note: To remove earplugs safely, twist like a screw to first break the seal, then pull out. Removing by pulling the earplug straight out without first twisting to break the seal can create a suction effect on your eardrum and possibly cause damage to your hearing.

I tried some "Sleep Pretty in Pink 'Women's' Ear Plugs" because the bright orange Sperian NRR33 plugs that I bought had me waking up in pain that lasted for hours after I took them out. The Pretty in Pink NRR 32s weren't much better in terms waking up with pain or at least great discomfort in my ear canals. So I tried the purple Mack's Slim Fit "Safe Sound Jr." NRR 29 plugs. They're super comfortable and didn't have me waking up in pain, but they didn't help me much in the way of getting to sleep next to my snoring partner, either. The Mack's Slim Fits are alright if I am able to get to bed and get to sleep first. They do enough at least to keep the snoring from waking me up (as far as I am aware of). I needed something more effective, though, that wouldn't hurt. These green-colored Howard Leight MAX Lite NRR30s are the best compromise I have found. I can still hear my partner's snoring, but it's a bit more muffled than with the purple Mack's Slim Fits. They're not as comfortable as the Mack's Slim Fits, but they don't HURT like the Sperian NRR33s do or the Sleep Pretty in Pink can do.

The tapered design really works for me. I have tried several other ear plugs and by far these are the most comfortable. I can sleep on my side with no problems or pain. Give these a try. Great for smaller ears.

Gold Bond Gold Bond Body Powder Medicated

This stuff has been around even longer than I have which is saying something. I started using this powder when I was a kid and was very involved in sports. I have been using it ever since. This stuff has been a life saver (well, that is an exaggeration for sure, but it has relived a lot of pain and discomfort over the years).

I can only speak here for guys but playing football, baseball on hot summer days, running track events can and does cause major chaffing and itching in the groin area and thighs and when it comes to biking; your hind quarters. That is simply a fact. This product relives the pain, itching and soreness and prevents it from becoming worse.

As I grew older the football and baseball went to the wayside but the distance running, bicycling and hiking continue to this day. The chaffing and such continue to be a problem and I continue to use this powder. It most certainly has a soothing effect and most certainly has preventive powers. Anyone who participates in long distance running or hiking needs this product in their kit bag. I know of few hikers who do not carry this stuff with them. While serving in the heat of the Far East quite a number of years ago, this stuff was worth its weight in gold...well, at least a box of Cool-Ade mix or three cold beers.

The scent is slightly medicated which I do not particularly like, but as long as I get relief it is a small price to pay and I could care less if I smell a bit like a medicine cabinet...far better to have a hint of medicine about you than to be constantly scratching your groin "area" and thighs in public!

I also find Gold Bond Powder to be quite effective for minor breakouts of poison ivy and chigger bites as it relives the itching.

All in all, I love this product and cannot remember a time that I was without it. Amazing that this stuff has been around since about 1907 or 1903 and is still a favorite of many...that alone will tell you much.

Zefal Woven Cloth Tape Black 22mm

I think electrical tape is great for things like ELECTRIC WIRE. That's what it's made for, and in that capacity it functions quite well.

I am not, however, a fan of using electrical tape to finish taping handlebars. It does NOT stay put. It either unwraps, or slides around. Either way, you end up having to push it back on or rewrap it, and you also end up with the sticky adhesive on your fingers, your bar and your bar tape. Since a better option exists, it is beyond me why bike shops continue to use electrical tape to complete the bar tape job, or why bar tape manufactures continue to include the equivalent of vinyl electrical tape (with a painted logo) with their bar tape. Note that I am NOT including home users who do maybe one or two bar wraps a year at most.

I happened upon this use by accident. After being FED UP with sticky crap on my fingers from electrical tape constantly coming loose, I was actually going to start using DUCT TAPE. Yup, I was going to rely upon repair item #1 (or is it #2 behind vice grips, and WD40 is in there somewhere too I know), but anyway...

I use this tape to complete my bar tape jobs and so should bike shops. It stays in place. Heat doesn't cause it to unwrap like electrical tape does. When you put it on, it stays. No rewrapping, no checking. Just tape and forget. It is also just sticky enough. It sticks fine. If you need to remove some or all of it and redo a job, it's fine. It's adhesive is not left on the thing it stuck to, it stays on the bottom of the tape where it belongs. No sticky ooze spreading about.

Bike shops and bar tape manufactures surely know this stuff exists. It is used to wrap bars in place of cushier forms of bar tape. Instead of wrapping the whole bar in this, just use it to complete the job. Instead of doing two turns of electric tape, do two turns of this. It's prettier, cleaner, and long lasting. Bar tape manufacturers could include two small strips of a color matched cloth tape rather than the pseudo electrical tape they include. I guess it all comes down to cost and logos. It would be hard to put a logo on this stuff, maybe that's why logo imprinted electrical tape is included with bar tape.

Home users: If you rarely do a bar taping job, it makes perfect sense to use what you already have around the house. I would never advocate buying this tape to complete one bar wrap. It's a waste. If you did want to consider purchasing a roll, I'd purchase the black since that will go with most bar tape you'll use.

And if any roadies want to weigh in and say that they've never had a problem with electrical tape on their bars I want to say up front that I am glad you haven't. I have. This has happened on bars I've wrapped, and bars I received wrapped. It's plenty hot and humid in Florida and I have yet to have a bar done with electrical tape (or manufacture supplied logo tape) NOT unwrap. I'd love to think that I'm riding faster than the physical properties of electrical tape can withstand, but that would only be dreaming.

I just found out that Brooks includes this type of tape with their leather wrap.

This handlebar tape lays out well as it is wrapped around the handlebars. It has good adheson. On the bars, it swears well. I would purchase it again, no hesitation

These are acceptable gloves, nicely priced. They fit well and feel true to size. We'll use them for personal hygiene and in the kitchen for shaping hamburgers, but once this box is gone we'll return to latex for a better "feel" and dexterity. Of course those with latex allergy will prefer vinyl, and for those who do, there are fine.

I had not had much experience with bandaging until our aging dog had surgery which resulted in a wound that would not heal on her elbow. We went through about 14 months of bandaging trial and error and became "experts". We found that this Kling wrap was an important part of our doctoring kit. Front elbows on dogs are especially difficult because dogs rest on them and they flex a lot: the worst possible place for a wound. Normal bandaging will fall down and you need something stretchy that you can wrap snugly, but not tight. We alternated each wrap while still covering the wound on each pass, we would wrap mostly above the elbow on one pass, mostly below on the next and did about 8-10 passes in this figure 8 mode. (There is also a product called DogLeggs which went over the back and covered both elbows, utilizing velcro and stretchy neoprene, it provided a good dirt barrier and extra padding. We put this one over the bandaging which featured a pain relieving triple antibiotic, a non-stick gauze pad, this Kling wrap and tape.)

This is the product formerly known as "Kling". It's a soft, cushion-y gauze (not scratchy, thin, and cheesecloth-like as other rolled gauzes) that provides excellent support and extra padding to any type of dressing.

I have had my foot reconstructed several times (born with Spina Bifida and limited nerve function in my foot) and I actually use this as a precautionary measure against any sort of blisters or pressure pointsI wrap my foot in it after I shower, and then put my sock on over it. It provides extra padding and prevents anything from irritating my skin. It's a great way to get a little extra protection for any delicate areas of the skin and it does not slip or bunch.

It's the best rolled gauze product on the market. However, unlike the earlier versions of Kling versions, it is *not* tearable.

Previous reviewer must not have read the product title or details correctly. As stated in the title this box has 500 tablets. Each packet contains 2 pills. Works just as good as the name brand products at a lesser cost.
