This is the best moist hot pack I've used. It is easy to prepare, odorless and comfortable. The best point is that it is washable! And the price is very affordable.I've used these for several years and just recently purchased additonal pads for travel and gifts. They always work great to provide 15 to 20 minutes of penetrating warmth. I caution to not overheat as I have experienced a minor burn when placed on an area of skin that I have reduced sensation due to an injury.I purchased this product hoping it would be as good as the Therabead pad I was retiring. It's not. It doesn't get nearly as hot or last as long. My Therabead pad would hold significant heat for about 30 minutes and moderate heat for another 10 or so. I only get about 15 minutes of moderate heat from the Thermalon bag. I tried heating it longer than instructed eventhough the instructions advise against it. That might have given me an extra 5 minutes. I will likely purchase the Therabead to use in the future.Save 28% Off

My daughter had diaper rash at the tender age of 2 months which we found a little odd. Our first one did not have any such problem. Later we found out that her skin was very sensitive. We tried several products not knowing that they all contained zinc oxide. zinc oxide hardens the skin and she couldn't tolerate it at all. So, we tried this Angel baby product and it worked great. No irritation and no rashes.But the product is slightly expensive. Amazon was the only place I got a pack of 2 (2oz) for about $19. Other sites were selling each for around $15.00. Even then it is expensive with shipping.
The next time our son's bottom got red, I grabbed the small can of EMAB Bottom Balm. It is a small can but it goes a loooong way. Before I used it, it looked like it was hard but once I touched it, I realized it was quite soft and spreadable. A VERY small amount goes a long way. It goes on almost clear (no messy white stuff here) and smells fresh. I can't really describe the smell but it does not smell like other diaper creams. I actually like the smell.
But this stuff actually works. The next time I opened his diaper, the redness was gone. I've used it about ten times since then and the results have always been the same. I believe that is because it kills excess yeast and other bacteria thanks to the lavender.
I also should mention that I cloth diaper and this stuff will not interfere with the absorbency of the diapers if that is a concern one might haveas we did.

I cannot say enough good things about this product. I love that it is made with all natural ingredients. I also love that it heals up a diaper rash nice and quick and is also so gentle on the baby's skin. I do not limit this ointment to diaper rashes only. Not only is this stuff great for its intended purpose, it's incredible for new tattoos. Something that normally takes me 10 days or so to heal from has healed in less than a week. I've been using these all summer and this is the first summer I haven't had to take any medication. I carry a clean spare with me especially when we had the fires here in NM and they worked for the smoke also. My nose measures exactly 7/8" slotted and I use the Med. 7/8"-1 1/8" and it works perfect. I clean them using very warm (can barely put my had in it) water and a $5 ultra sound. I usually let it run for 10 minutes as my filter is full of pollen after only one day and when the air was smokey I'd have two filters dirty by the end of the day. I've been searching for a product just like this one for a long, long time and I've tried many. I'm very discerning about my gear and purchases. A discreet nasal filter made so much sense, but no one did it right until now.
I've been using the filters for about three months. I wear the WoodyKnows filters at home and on my commute to work. Now, at the height of the spring tree pollen season, I even wear them when I sleep. They are very comfortable if you get the right size (get the cheap sizing kit first!) and you get used to them fast.
They are not perfect 100-percent block-everything filters, but because I can wear them for hours and hours they are extremely effective at reducing my overall allergy load. And that makes a huge difference since allergy misery is a cummulative effect. By cutting down my exposure over big swaths of time, when I do get exposed to pollen or dust, my reaction is minimal.
Last year, I tried First Defense Nasal Screens. And they were a big help! They do in fact block more allergens than WoodyKnows. Their actual filtration is more effective. But First Defense had some serious downsides. 1) Despite being promoted as looking invisible, they make your nostrils disappear! The end effect is you either look, at best, like you have Band Aids on your nose or, at worst, like some kind of old Twilight Zone mutant. 2) They're not really reuseable. You can take them off and stick them back on the plastic sheet, but they lose adhesive effect each time and never fit quite right again. 3) The screens are effective, but they also reduce air flow making it noticably harder to breathe. 4) One sneeze and they're shot. There is no saving, cleaning or reusing them. They are pretty expensive given they are truly disposable, one-shot filters.
WoodyKnows solves all those problems. They really are hard to notice making public use possible without feeling self-conscious. They don't limit breathing. They are easy to clean and reuse (I use the recommended ultrasonic jewelry cleaner approach). Yeah, they don't filter out everything, but all of these positives mean you can actually use them a lot. And wearing a 95-percent filter for 12 hours a day does a lot more good than a 99-precent filter for 2 hours a day.
If you still need extra allergy or pollution protection, WoodyKnows plus a Vogmask are a good and stylish combo.
My young son also suffers from severe Spring allergies and he wears WoodyKnows, too. Last year, he often needed a nebulizer to help his strained breathing, but with WoodyKnows this year he hasn't needed the nebulizer once. I had been concerned about the filters looking weird and causing him problems at school, but they are very subtle and often you can't even tell he has them on. Sometimes kids ask him what's the thing on his nose and he tells them and that's the end of it. The one lookng at his nose the most is his sneezing, allergy-suffering teacher who is a bit envious.
WoodyKnows are not perfect:
-The filter frames tend to deform over time, causing problems with a good seal. They're promoted as having a lifespan of a month, but I'd say they work great for two weeks and then by the end of the third week they need replacing. Of course, I use them a lot longer and harder than most would. I have found that if you alternate between two sets of filters, you can get a lot more life out of them. One filter gets to "rest" and the shape of the frame tends to come back.
-They might be even more discrete if the connecting bridge between filters was transparent instead of a transluscent-whitish color.
-Would be good if there was a size between the III and IV models.
-I also wish they came with a carry case for a single filter instead of just the three-pack.
That said, these are minor quibbles with an awesome, incredibly helpful product.
After last year's brutal allergy season, I was on the verge of starting on months of expensive, painful and time-consuming allergy shots. Thanks to WoodyKnows, I have a cheaper, faster, more reliable alternative that doesn't involve many needles and hours in waiting rooms.
