It removed without pulling her hair and left no sticky residue. She was sedated which probably helped since the sticking power is somewhat less than regular skin adhesives and it is not especially flexible.

This is helpful for the elderly or others sensitive to regular adhesives. It seems to work best where it is not exposed to a lot of action or bending. Recommended.

I had a diabetic abscess that required dressings for almost 8 weeks. During that time I tried every tape recommended for sensitive skin. While this product is not irritation free, it is by far the least aggravating to my skin of all the products I tried. Surgeon was surprised at how well it sticks to the skin and also doesn't aggravate the skin.

Customer review from the Amazon Vine Program Tape like this makes taking care of little scrapes and cuts easy: you cut off what you need, maybe use a little cotton wool to pad it (with some antibiotic cream on it), and tape it down.

It says it's for sensitive skin, and when you look at it in detail, it even says you can reposition the tape. Why you'd want to do that, I'm not sure.

Here's my beef, and maybe it goes with the turf: it doesn't stay stuck down very well. I scraped a knuckle doing some carpentry and tried the tape on it. Every time I pull on or off my work-gloves, there goes the tape.

I guess what I really want isn't something for sensitive skin. This product helped me see that what I'm really looking for is the old-fashion kind of bandage that glued down over the cut and wouldn't come off for a week, rain, shine, or in the shower the kind that might even leave some glue on your skin for a couple of days.

Seems I just got the wrong product, so if you or your kids are sensitive to bandages, and don't mind them falling off frequently as a trade off to not having irritated skin, this will be what you want.

Product worked very well. Used it to repair a Walker hound after an encounter with a large black bear. One of the wounds was 6 to 8 inches long, treated with a disinfectant/antibiotic and stapled it up. By the next weekend the wound was fully healed.

If you have ever been in a situation that required you to suture yourself or someone, else (usually, due to being in mountains or jungles, etc...) THIS is the "only" way to go. CLIP-CLIP-CLIP, instead of SEW-SEW-SEW. This method "can" be done wthout anesthesia, if the situation calls for it. The sewing thing, without anesthesia of some type, can be a true b----!! This, I say, from my own "personal" experiences

I'm an EMT in Alaska. We use these babies in our ambulances and I've used 2 of them on car accident victims. They work well to get a patient from the Alaskan wilderness to the hospital. We put them in ziplocks to protect against moisture because the packaging is a little weak. THESE ARE NOT A PERMANENT WOUND SOLUTION!!! If you use these you need to go to the hospital and have professional medical aid.

One observation about this item is that I carry one of them in a padded, watertight first aid kit in my tractor toolbox. It comes pre-sterilized and sealed and its packaging does look fairly water resistant, but I don't trust its long term retention of sterility and function in the rain. (Yes I know this is a comment about packaging, but a big part of the item cost is its sterility. Thus you cannot separate the individual packaging from the stapler itself due to the nature of the product.)

Edited to add the comments that sutures are really better for tight closure, but I've never really been happy tying one handed knots, even when I was on ER rotation in school and was supervised by senior resident surgeons. Since most of my farming-related injuries which require emergency closure are on either the hand or arm the stapler is much easier to use. With it you don't have to juggle suture, needle clamp and scissors while keeping the extra suture material in your sterile field. You just staple, staple, staple, staple. Obviously, people who use this item should be trained medical professionals, or have experience and training since stapling injuries is not something that a person should take lightly.

First Aid Only Triple Antibiotic Ointment Pack, 0.5 Gram, 10-Count Boxes (Pack of 10)

This ointment contains the most wide spectrum antibiotic mix available over the counter.

It contains: 400 units of Bacitracin Zinc; 5mg of Neomycin sulfate (the equivalent of 3.5 mg of neomycin base); AND, 5000 units of Polymyxin B sulfate.

I have used this mix since I was in Vietnam 40 years ago. It is excellent for dressing minor wounds and lacerations to prevent infection. It is also excellent for packing a dressing to treat sucking wounds, and, sealing some perforated wounds. In short, it will be helpful for treating anything from a bullet wound to the chest, to, minor scrapes for children and pets.

The packaging is excellent. When I read the other review, I was worried that I would only get 10 packets. However, the packing is ten small boxes (which will fit anywhere) and there are ten .5 gram packets per box for a total of 100 useable doses.

This is far more economical than ordering the larger tubes. Once you open the larger tubes, the anti-biotics start to deteriorate. One of the larger tubes (often costing over $10.00 per tube) is enough to treat a regiment for a month and will lose its potency long before the average user can consume the majority of the tube.

These small packets are perfect for strewing across stored camping gear, vehicles (truck, car, trailer, ATV, tractor) etc. so that you always have an antibiotic ointment available that is fresh.

I ordered this antibiotic ointment to replace the expired stuff in my Xterra's first aid kit and our other first aid kits. I have found it very handy to have antibiotic ointment around, and it seemed a waste to buy all new kits when you can just replaced the expired items.

I was amazed at this value--you really do get 100 packets of ointment for such a low price. I had more than enough for my needs, and even gave away a couple boxes to friends and co-workers.

Most importantly, this antibiotic ointment works. I have used it on myself and my dog with excellent results.

My only suggestion for this item would be less packaging. You get 10 boxes, each more than big enough to contain 10 packets. There would be less waste if there were fewer boxes, and I immediately tossed the boxes anyway. I would have gladly accepted this item if the 100 packets were in one resealable bag.

First off let me just say the ointment is actually really great, I was just annoyed by the small portion in each packet. Not only that but the packets themselves are small but in a big box. Didn't make much sense, quite frankly the could have doubled up the packets in the boxes so I wouldn't have to do that myself to save space in my first aid bag. Very expensive if you consider the fact you could just buy a tube of antibiotic ointment for 88 cents at most dollar stores or walmarts. Wish having individually wrapped packets could have been more reasonably priced.

This is a very good ointment. I like it very much. I use it on myself and actually on my dog. My dog had a small rash and someone told me to put triple antibiotic ointment on it, and that is exactly what I did. After couple of days rash was completely gone. I love this product!!!

I keep a home first aid kit as well as a substantial-sized portable kit for community events and "on the go" emergencies. I used to include tubes of triple antibiotic ointment in each of these, but tubes have a problem once you open them up, they are no longer sterile. This is maybe not such a big idea when the only people likely to use them are yourself and your family, but it's less desirable when you may have to treat total strangers.

These single-use packs provide the perfect amount of antibiotic ointment for cuts and small scratches. For larger wounds, you will probably need to open up two or three packs. The ones I got were fresh and in-date, with about 2 years left before their expiration date. I've used them on my own minor injuries, and they work very well.

As others have stated, the packaging is rather wasteful for these. Each 10 packs are in a cardboard box, and the 10 cardboard boxes you get with this order are enclosed in a sealed plastic bag. I guess this might be useful if you are looking to resell them, or outfitting multiple first aid kits. But for my own purposes, I would have been happier if they eliminated all the cardboard and just packaged in a plastic bag with a single ingredient/dosing information sheet.

Pricing is good for single-use packs. More expensive than you would pay for a larger tube at the local drugstore, but as explained above there are times you might not want a communal tube.

works as expected, no complaints, Comes in a dark green air tight military style packaging, Too bad they don't make a more permanent version, this seems like it was made to discard after a few uses

While this band is labelled as single use (otherwise 5 stars), I have decon'd and reused it at least a dozen times on difficult IVs, and it still works like new. It is easier and faster to use than a regular rubber band tourniquet. If you can't find a vein with this, you simply aren't going to find a vein with anything short of a fluoroscope. I reserve it for difficult "must have" IVs on yellow or red patients, as many complain that it 's too tight and pinches skin, especially when it is rolled from axillary to AC to push blood into the lower arm. Great tool to have on an ambulance.
