Ace Lumbar Brace, One Size Adjustable
1. It is too big. If you are a fit woman, this back brace will not fit very well. I have a 27 in waist, 39 in hips and it is a big pain to wrap this thing around myself, plus it poofs out on top.
2. After 1 week of use, the fabric is too smoothed/worn out for the velcro to stick where it needs to in order to provide support.
With a price of $30, I'd say one week of regular use is not a very good value. The size is not really clear.
So it was not large enough since I am overweight. My wife had to modify it.

I like that it is white, but wasn't certain how supportive it would be as all the more expensive ones are black. It keeps me from bending the wrong way. I wear it to work where I do light freight, and it's comfortable and airy, no sweating.Read Best Reviews of Ace Lumbar Brace, One Size Adjustable Here
Adventure Medical Kits Weekender Kit
Ultimately I chose this kit due to its more comprehensive selection mixed with the nice organization it offers (separate pouches for "Wound Care/Burn/Blister", "First Aid Manual, Medication/Instruments", "Fracture, Sprain", and "Bleeding, CPR"). This is not meant to be a overly compact kit though and is far too large for the average hiker, but Adventure Medical Kits does offer kits in a variety of sizes depending on your needs from the very basic Adventure Medical Kits Travel Medic Kit (Pack of 2) for throwing in pocket or purse (also perhaps a more economical way of getting refills of various medication once it expires), the scalable Adventure Medical Kits UltraLight and Watertight (fits in a larger pocket and is great for short excursions where weight is a main consideration), and the surprisingly compact Adventure Medical Kits Day Tripper First Aid Kit which I also own and fits very nicely in a backpack for those trips where you may need to be a little more prepared and yet want to keep the size down. Do keep in mind that the medications included in this (or other) medical kit will need to be periodically replaced as it expires (normally about each year or so).

For the larger trips I add some extra supplies and this kit's bag has a little extra space to accommodate it.

I'm a Scuba Instructor, Emergency First Response Instructor (CPR/First Aid), and my wife is a Internal Medicine doctor and ACLS instructor. I was looking for a decent first aid kit to keep in my truck for shore diving with friends. We keep a more extensive first aid kit with oxygen on our shop truck and boat, but I wanted something for my fun dives. This kit met most of my requirements for a little more than the basics, but wasn't going to break the bank or take up too much space. I specifically wanted a kit with an irrigation syringe, EMT shears and a CPR face shield. This kit was the smallest that met those requirements, and I was impressed with the other materials included.
The pros:
*good mix of bandages from simple band-aids, to butterflies and 4X4s.
*decent mix of medications. Probably worth adding some additional units of the most common (aspirin/tylenol, decongestant, benadryl)
*wraps, bandages, duct tape for immobilization/splints
*well laid out package with clear labels for types of materials included in each sub-pouch
*extra room in the kit for adding your own supplements
The cons:
***The included book is several years out of date and doesn't reflect the most recent changes to CPR guidelines. The three pages on dive injuries and pretty poor and even have some inaccuracies. Even some of the first aid guidelines have changed, and includes no mention of AEDs. While AEDs are not likely to be found in the wilderness, they are becoming widespread in general society.
** The EMT shears are small and weak, not necessarily up to the task of cutting through 3 or 5mm wetsuits. Not sure if they would cut through tough denim either.
General recommendations for additions (not specific to diving)
-better EMT shears.
-anti-diahreal tablets
-extra aspirin/tylenol
-extra decongestant
-extra nitrile gloves
-small pack of wetwipes
-small bottle of hand sanitizer (unscented, highest percentage alcohol possible)
If you want to use this for diving/beach:
-small bottle of vinegar/acetic acid (for jellyfish sting)
-seasickness pills
Overall, I still recommend this kit. The book was a disappointment, but as an EFR instructor, I wasn't relying on it to teach me much. Most of the equipment (except shears) are pretty good quality. It is small enough to tuck into one of the storage compartments in my truck.

Basic and useful. Pricey for what you get! Buy the products yourself and make your own kit, its cheaper! ..I bought one of these for each of my cars "in case of emergency." It's a high-quality kit with everything you need short of a severe trauma situation. The first-aid field guide that comes with it makes it quick and easy to look up various traumas and how to treat them. This kit is a little heavy to take in a backpack or daypack, but great for basecamp or the car. Also, the Adventure Medical Pocket Survival Pack fits nicely inside to round off the kit.3M Micropore Surgical Paper Tape 2" x 10 yds. White - Box of 6
The tape is strong and holds very well. I like that it is perforated and can be hand torn into convenient sizes at about 2" increments. Like all long term use tapes, it will leave some sticky adhesive residue on your skin when it is removed, but it is fairly easy to remove by gently rubbing the area with a warm dampened washcloth.
We also use Box of 4 3M Micropore Surgical Tape 3" x 10 yds White 3M 1535-03 as well, with the same great results!
Highly Recommended! The price is good, and so is the product. I can be allergic to some adhesives use in bandage tapes, resulting in blistering and even scarring worse than the original injury. Not reacting to the adhesive on this, so I'm happy. Sticks very well, can be hard to remove, but that is better than not sticking. I suppose I might have been happier with flesh-color, since I am in part using it on a spot on my face, but it is less noticeable than a bandaid.

I wasted money on this. I does not stick to the body peels right off after three minutes on leg.I have used kinseio tape for about two years. This particular product is definately an inferior product, with less sticking power.I would recommend using either KT tape or kinesio tex gold, rather than this product. This tape would not stick to anything for more than 15 seconds. Not to me, not to itself, not to a piece of paper, etc. So I guess I can't tell you how it worked, since it would not stay on. Save your money and buy sports tape at the drug store.I have used this tape for areas that need a lift!! Tape lifts tissue so natural body fluids with healing benefits can pass through. It has been a great aide for me. I also am able to use it on clients as I am a therapeutic massage therapist.Zinc Throat Spray - 4 oz - Spray

Used on my seasonal allergy sore throat. After 2 days of use it feels better. The only problem is that it has an odd taste and after taste. But on the 2nd day I was used to it. I will continue to use since the benefit is greater than the drawback (taste). If taste was better it would be a 5 star.I have used GSE for years and always used it for that infrequent bout of bronchitis. It worked wonders but they seemed to recently changed their formula (it tastes different but better) and I am doubting its effectiveness. I bought this spray some time ago and it was sitting on my shelf for several months. Today I started feeling the beginning of that bronchitis tickle and phlegm. Usually I would reach for the GSE but this time I used the spray. It seems to be working. It immediately broke up the phlegm and it seemed to quell the tickle and cough urge. I am hoping that it will nip this thing in the bud. If it doesn't go full blown then this stuff is a definite success. I know this is a harsh bug I have because my kids have been suffering with it for several weeks. Unfortunately, I don't think they can handle this spray as they are averse even to mint toothpaste. I will continue to use it and will update with results.

Myrrh is an ancient, natural ointment which works for almost any skin problem. It is great for everything from dry skin to wounds. It also works very quickly. Better than anything you can get at the store. You may find it expensive, but it is well worth it. Especially because you only have to use a little bit. So, although the jar is small, it lasts a long time. Huge thumbs up from me!!!!!!!!!!!Want Country Comfort Herbal Savvy Goldenseal Myrrh Discount?
Like it lots, it's not a creme but an ointment, it melts as you touch it into an oil, a thin film is enough to be applied, doesn't drip.Medline Generation Pink Pearl Nitrile Exam Gloves, Pink

Little Remedies Little Noses Decogestant Drops .5 oz
A year later, I was pregnant and got a terrible miserable cold and had nothing on hand, so I tried these drops and to my surprise they actually worked. Now, I know you shouldn't use things like this w/o consulting your OB to be sure, but I was desperate and close to the end of my pregnancy. If it could unplug my nose in a few minutes I'm sure it can quickly help a child.
We have moved a few times since then and we lost the bottle or threw it out and now my oldest has a terrible cold keeping her up crying at night, nothing else is helping. She begged me for the nasal drops that worked, but I cannot find them in any stores around here anymore. Figured they were pulled from the shelves. I was so happy to see them on here, I know by the time they come, she will be hopefully over this cold, but I can keep them on hand for an emergency situation in the future.I try not to use anything if I don't have to. That being said, I have a 2 1/2 year old and when they have a stuffy head and it's draining and they are not getting any sleep because they are coughing, this stuff is excellent!
For his age, two drops in each side and I kid you not, about 10/20 minutes later he is not coughing any more and is sound asleep! This allows him to get the much needed rest that is so helpful to getting better faster.
I usually use this with a warm air humidifier.
In general, I just love all the Little Noses products.

My 6 year son has frequent nose bleeds. As soon as he starts bleeding, I drop 2 drops in the affected nostril. The bleeding stops within seconds. He will start bleeding after about fifteen minutes in the sun without fail. To prevent that I put one drop in each nostril before heading outside and he does not get a bleed on the days I remember to do that. I have been using this for the last three years. It was the only option after 4 failed cordorizations and I am very satisfied.Read Best Reviews of Little Remedies Little Noses Decogestant Drops .5 oz Here

My doctor reccomended I get these drops when my daughter was little and got a cold. I have been using these for over 2 years every times she gets a cold. I jut put one or two drops in her nostrils twice a day and my baby is able to breathe better and doesn't sound so stuffy.First Aid Only Emergency Medical First Aid Kit, 204-Piece Kit
I ordered this item from Amazon (not a third party) and was initially very taken aback that the case wasn't sealed or in any sort of packaging other than the brown Amazon box. There isn't any real medicine in the kit to be tampered with, but the box itself wasn't even taped shut.
So with that, it's hard to even tell if you got what you were supposed to get, as there's no list of contents anywhere. Amazon's description says 204 pieces, and another description says 216.
The next thing that really surprised me was how soon everything in the kit expires. There was less than a year left on the antibiotic ointment, and about a year on the other liquid-based products. I checked my own medicine cabinet for reference, and saw that the items I already had were good for at least two years.
As far as the case goes, it's nothing more than an orange Flambeau tackle box. Some of the items are obviously crammed in, others seem to be arbitrarily placed wherever they happen to fit. That said, there is a huge variety of items you get: all sorts of bandages, insect sting reliever, tongue depressors, one-time-use thermometers, a rain poncho, an emergency blanket, etc. But the quality of the included items is low-end, and some items border on "questionable" in terms of quality.
For what this costs, you could build your own first aid kit with basically the same contents, but using higher quality products. Granted, you probably won't get a fancy orange pretend EMT box if you go that route. Of course, the question you might want to ask yourself isn't "Can I build the same kit?", but "Will I build myself the same kit?".

theres actually more room in the containers they come in so you can pack a few more (very few) items into it to make it more useful.its cheap and it shipped freeMy wife picked up a number of these little kits, probably a an impulse item. She found them on sale. Well, they might come in handy. We put them in a variety of places where you wouldn't ordinarily find this type of thing. In the glove compartments of the cars. In my office desk. In her purse, with the camping gear. In the garage too area. In our boy's room. It's no big deal but they might save a little time if a small injury occurs. Each kit contains a couple cleaning wipe, gauze pads, and a couple different types of Band Aids. So far we haven't used anything.
Gary PetersonWith only twelve pieces in this kit, it would be a better decision to get a resealable plastic bag and place a few first aid supplies in it. The box itself is sturdy, but it is not clearly marked as a first aid kit. At least it is not expensive.
