First Aid Only American Red Cross Emergency Preparedness W/first Aid Kit, Soft Case

I bought this to keep in my car. I live in Chicago, so there are several items I thought would be excellent for the car in the winter. There is an emergency blanket, hand warmers, a light stick, whistle, poncho and water as well as the standard emergency items. And it is in a really compact and organized soft case. It fits in my glove box with plenty of room to spare. I hope I never need it, but I feel better knowing it is there. And for the price, it is totally worth it. I contacted the company about what I presumed was a miscount of items and they were so quick to respond and sent the extra pieces. Very customer service oriented. I am extremely happy with my purchase.

I bought this for my car emergency kit. I was very pleasantly surprised when I received this First Aid kit. I fully expected to add a few item to complete it. I didn't need to add a thing. It is very well stocked and the case is very well made. For the price, I would give this 10 out of 10 stars if I could!

Oral Rehydration Salts 3-Pack

Every family should have some packets of Oral Rehydration Salts around, for when diarrhea eventually hits. Pedialyte and store knockoffs have too low sodium and too high osmolarity, and kids hate the taste. Unfortunately, the World Health Organization ORS packets offered on Amazon are not the newer low-osmolarity formula, which has been around for over ten years. The CeraLyte 70, 50 g packets do have the right formula; they use maltodextrine in the form of rice syrup to deliver more calories without raising the osmolarity, and they're flavored. Problem is they cost North of $4.50 per liter packet, whereas all around the world you can buy WHO ORS packets for less than $.50 and it's easy to make your own with readily available items like Morton Lite salt and dextrose bought on Amazon.

We travel a great deal and these ORS have saved us (and our travel companions) many a time. They're the best way to recover after being sick.

Berman Oral Airway Kit - Colored

Haven't had a chance to use these but they seem too be really strong. They are just what we wanted for out personally EMS bags.

got this for emergency use out in the field or at home. Am an RN with chronically ill family. feel better having this at hand if needed.

size is small, also the braces on the sides have come through the top requiring sewing to fix it (both sides)

Instructions say to measure leg 4" above leg. My measurement was a inch LESS than the range this is supposed to fit, but there was no way to get it far enough up my leg so that the knee was properly aligned until I slit the back & modified the unit. Still wasn't a good fit & could not keep it from sliding down.

Rating based on construction compared to others, not fit.

my card, but so far no pajamas. I have never had any company charge

The kit is weatherproof, but they only last about one year outside. I purchase them for a school and the brackets that hold them closed break after about one year (sometimes a little less). I keep purchasing them, because I can't find anything better in the same low price range.

Hypafix Retention Tape 2" X 10 Yard Roll Each

This tape is wonderful! It was recommended to me to try by physical thereapists. I've used it to keep a scar pad in place on the side of my foot. Where it's placed, it gets constant abrasion, but stays in place. While it adheres to the skin, it does not stick to the scar pad, and it can be easily removed without leaving residue. And, it's latex free which is a real bonus for me. It really is a great product!

While I did in fact receive a BVM, it was NOT the one listed in this ad.

Instead of an (clear) Ambu brand BVM (as pictured here), I received the "Manual Resuscitator Adult Latex Free" from Legend MD instead (blue).

Yes, it will work and still qualifies as a BVM, however be aware that you may or may not actually get an Ambu brand product as advertised. There is also a slight (less than 2 dollar) price difference between these products so I basically overpaid for an item I could have purchased correctly through another seller. I'll chalk that up to a learning experience and avoid this seller in the future.

The only reason this review received a 2nd star is because of their prompt shipping not that it helps much to quickly get the wrong item.

For me its not as good as it seems. I've worked with similar bags of ambu brand, and doesnt fall apart the mask and bag as esasy as this does.

i'm a picture guy, won't be one anymore after this purchase. for some reason i was expecting the child and infant BVM's too. only reason why i chose this over others. -change the picture to only show adult so buyer is confident in what s/he is buying.

I can't remember ever using up a whole tube of this great stuff (even when raising 4 boys) before the expiration date came due. These are great to carry around so you can treat the scratch or whatever before an infection has a chance to nest in there.

I've been using this brand of niacin for a while and it works very well.

My ratio of HDL/LDL is much better while taking Slo-Niacin.

Flushing is minimal. I actually enjoy it when I do get a flush. It let's me know it's working.

First, I got the worst flush with this product so the claim of NO FLUSH is blatantly false. Problem is the FLUSH doesn't happen all the time which just means that the manufacturing process of the product is SLOPPY. One of the things that good vitamin/supplement manufacturers pride themselves on is "Product Standards" a type of gaurantee that every pill has equal amounts of the the supplement you are purchasing. If I get FLUSH on Monday but not on Tuesday means that there is not quality control.

Additionally, there is HYDROGENATED VEGETABLE OIL. According to the Mayo Clinic Website, "When it comes to fat, trans fat is considered by some doctors to be the worst type of fat. Unlike other fats, trans fat -also called trans-fatty acids -both raises your "bad" (LDL) cholesterol and lowers your "good" (HDL) cholesterol." I called the manufacturer for a refund and they declined.

Unless you enjoy waking in the middle of the night with severe itching all over....even bottom of feet, better leave this one alone. I have taken niacin supplements for several years, and the only problem that I experienced was an occasional flushing which went away in no time.
