I had tried everything including prescription medication from my dermatologist. I initially purchased this product as I was experiencing cyst/boil like blisters on my legs. As soon as I feel a blister forming, I immediately apply Polyactil/Petroactil to the area. If I catch it early enough, the blister will not form at all but if it does form, it is very minor and goes away within 3-5 days. I also use this product after waxingit is great for bumps and I have recommended it to my aesthetician.

At the end of the day, this is my "go to" product for any sort of skin ailmentpimples, bumps, dry patches, cuts and scrapes. It is the only thing I need/use!

If you are reading this review and you have no clue what Pyoderma Gangrenosum (PG) is, please finish reading this review and then run an internet search on the disease. I am still recovering from a bilateral outbreak of PG and the combination of Polyactil with Petroactil helped with the pain & healing process. Polyactil/Petroactil used in conjunction with Manuka Honey 550+ made a big difference in the speed of healing the lesions based on the surprise expressed by my wound care MD yesterday. The doctor and the attending nurse both commented that I was making remarkable progress compared to other PG cases they had seen.

My PG lesions are in a variety of stages some are still wounds, some have scabbed over, some have sloughed off the scab and newly formed pink skin has made an appearance. The Polyactil/Petroactil combo is keeping everything comfortable and moisturized on the skin's surface, has promoted healing (verified by a Medical Doctor who specializes in wound care!) and it appears it will even reduce the appearance of the scars with continued use. I have just ordered another bundle, having ordered the first one in February. Amazing products from a remarkable company, Med-Actil.

My mom who has passed was bed ridden and developed a bad bed sore. Hospice didn't give us anything special to help. The best stuff we could find in the store was medicated diaper cream and it wasn't helping. I went online and after many comparisons I picked this stuff out. We saw improvements within the first few days. Even when she was starting the dying process the polyactil/petroactil really helped the bedsores. They did not progress any further and even started to heal. If someone you love has bedsores get this stuff. It really works!

Prestige 5.5 inch Nurses Utility Scissors

These are going in the toolbox. Small size blades and at some point may purchase longer ones. Tested on cardboard, plastic, heavy paper, poster board and even cut a penny without failure(pic above). Met my expectations at this price point and if it holds up long term It'll be a bonus. Side to side movement seems to be the weak point.

I work in the healthcare industry and these are great scissors to carry. Very sturdy, nice size, and great colors. I like them so much, I have another pair that I carry in my handbag in cases of emergency. They're so handy. Great quality, too, so you can't go wrong.

I rated this item with four stars, and that is what I believe they deserve. However, BE VERY CAREFUL who you buy them from! I bought mine from BP Medical Supplies and they arrived promptly, packaged with another item that I bought from the company (for the record, the pack of penlights that I received from them work great and I am pleased with that item. Everything was shipped promptly, as well). However, the scissors--which had been specified as new--were obviously not new and had crusted dirt and water stains along the blades.

I was a bit miffed and contacted the company. They responded very promptly and assured me that I would receive a new (clean!) pair soon. Two weeks later, nothing. I waited a month for good measure then contacted them again. Again they responded very promptly and said that they had sent them and "would check on this." Another month passed and no new scissors. This ordeal began in the middle of August and now it is November.

In short, the scissors work like they should and seem to be a good buy. I couldn't in good conscience rate them low because of my bad experience with a seller, but that is the reason I left off one star.

This product was just what I needed. I keep a serious first aid kit at home, given past experience. You can buy a decent kit from several companies, and just supplement it with things that are consumed often like band aids and antiseptic spray. Where most of these kits fall down is that they include a cheap pair of scissors that barely function at all. If you have a bleeding child, you don't want to struggle with your scissors. These are moderately priced and effective. I tested them and they will cut gauze, tape and heavy fabric. Now the only challenge is to keep family members from going to the first aid kit whenever a pair of scissors is needed so we don't have to look for them in an emergency.

I used this tape when wrapping my doberman's ears. This product is excellent and it dissolves quickly when you use Unisolve with it. Does not hurt the dog at all. No pulling!

Works like it should... allows the skin to breathe and also has the right amount of stickiness to it. Will order again soon.

This is an item that some doctors still prescribe. While it was a product you could get almost anywhere, it has become harder and harder to find. I could have had a pharmacy order it for me, but the price prohibited that. I found this on Amazon and was glad to find it. While it was for the facility I work for, it was complying with a doctor's order and the price was very good. It was a larger size than you normally find and the price met my needs. The availability of the product met the resident's needs and kept us in good standing with the doctor that prescribed the medication. I am a happy person having all of my requirements met.

Premium Elastic Bandage with Velcro

I bought this product after pulling my groin muscle and needed something long enough to wrap around my thigh and waist several times so I figured a product that was 11 yards would do. I was surprised when I got the product and it was only 11 feet long when it was not being stretched, 15 feet when it was stretched. I am not happy that the title is misleading and I would not suggest this product to anyone who has more than a knee injury. You may want to change the title of your product to 6" x 11ft.

These extra long bandages are good for lyphedema or patients with edema...nice texture..strong..hold their shape..and at a reasonable cost...well satisfied!!

They're awful. The elastic part is kind of icky but the worst part is the velcro on both ends. There's no good way to wrap a knee without getting pinched by the velcro. I don't recommend them.

My husband is a recent amputee and the surgeon wrapped his leg in a 4" bandage with Velcro ends. It was perfect and the other wraps we tried after arriving back home failed to perform as well.

So as always, I jumped on Amazon to locate a replacement. This wrap is exactly what he was looking for and identical to the superior wrap he left the hospital with.

I purchased these for a friend of mine who had cancer surgery in both breasts abd wanted some large bandages, these were the ones I founds, she was very grateful just what she wanted.

My husband's doctor recommended Tubigrip for his lower leg swelling. He has Rx pressure socks, but because he needs hip replacements, they were very difficult for him to get on. The doctor gave us a sample of a different brand from the wound clinic, but it was too tight. We ordered one size up (4.5 inches) and it fit perfect. The pressure is just right, it comes in a long roll, and you just cut off what you need. You can even double it by pulling it to your knee and then folding it down if you need more pressure. It is easy to hand wash. While the initial cost is a little expensive, I think it will last quite awhile and it is less than Rx pressure socks. We are very happy this product was brought to our attention. Our doctor's mother uses it, that's how he knew of it.

Bought this on a doctor's recommendation. My husband is using this in place of his compression socks while recovering from leg surgery.

You can cut it to any size and unlike the compression socks they are easier to get on. These do not replace compression socks which are tighter, but they do give you a lighter weight option.

Adult BVM (Bag Valve Mask)

I was happy to find the BVM. I was putting together my own jump bag and felt that this was a good addition, with or without oxygen.

What can I say, the item seems made well and seems to function properly. I will get some use out of it and if I have any problems I will update my review.

Ambulance - first aid in a tin - plasters / band aids

Bought these for my everything medical-obsessed (think Doc Mcstuffins!) 4 year old, and she loves them! The little tin container is just like the old-fashioned ones we grew up with, and the ambulance print on the bandages themselves is adorable. She loves keeping this container in her play medical kit, and as far as quality is concerned, they are just as durable as any other brand name.
