I'm a podiatrist and use these devices occasionally as part of a neurologic exam. It seems that the one I had was always in another exam room so I asked my nurse to order another, which she did, from our regular medical supply vendor. When it arrived I was amazed at how beautiful it was, almost like jewelry brushed stainless steel, elegant appearance.

Then I found out it had cost $140!!! So I had her send it back and found this cheapo wheel here on Amazon. It is chrome plated and not exactly beautiful but it cost only four dollars! And it works just as well as the pretty one. We jam econo.

This is strictly for novelty/bedroom play only. The tines {spikes} around the wheel are actually pretty pointy and with just a bit of pressure, was able to puncture a pizza box running across it. The wheel itself is not a good quality steel. One of the tines on mine was bent upon arrival. The other complain was the screw acting as a rivet to hold the wheel in between the 2 arms. There are no washers and the screw isn't tight enough so the wheel can wobble a bit. I tried to tighten it myself but its not a true screw and wasn't able to be tighten. Oh, and make sure you sterilize the whole item with alcohol and then flame the wheel itself before play.

This thing is amazing! We love it. We use it all the time. It is very sharp, but it wont pierce skin. It causes very pleasurable sensations all over the body. My boyfriend highly recommends this as do I, and he says it was very intense and pleasurable. This thing is amazing. It's definitely worth the money. You'll get your money's worth and then some. One of those gifts that keeps giving, I suppose... The model we received had no plastic, it was all metal and heavy. When we run this one out, we will definitely get another one just like it.

For close to $4 this is an amazing buy and one of my favorite 'toys'. The wheel, handle, and spikes are all solid metal and are well made. The pins are prickly, but require quite a bit of pressure to actually puncture the skin. My and my boyfriend both are not heavy into pain and this is a perfect 'toy' for us.
