First Aid Only Eye Pad, Gauze, Sterile, Oval, 2-Count Boxes (Pack of 20)

I have one extremely dry eye, that needs medicine applied every two waking hours, covered with a sterile eye pad, and then patched, to hold it in place. Although one can *sort of* reuse the eye pads, as long as they drop with the eye side face up, and as long as one is careful in keeping hands washed, it is still possible to go through a lot of sterile eye pads. The local CVS store has them, for $1 each. At anywhere from 2 to 7 eye pads per day (say 5), that would run $150 /month.

I purchased this product thinking that the speed offered by Amazon Prime would offset the price.

The pads were a great disappointment. They were small and thin. It is true that there are two pads per box. BUT the box size does not match the sterile envelope size. I guess to preserve investment in the box and envelope combination, the manufacturers have had two sterile envelopes of eye pads FOLDED and stuffed into one box.

This would work *if* you wanted to pay a premium for makeup remover pads. For my purpose it was a waste of money, not well advertised. Amazon should not have had this product as an Amazon Prime product.

A better choice was my next order Curity Eye Pads Box/50 Sterile Oval-shaped. Neither Amazon Prime nor Expedited delivery was available from the cheapest price + delivery source, Chichester's Pharmacy and Gifts. Yet the order arrived within three days, just enough for me to discover my disappointment with the boxed eye pads, and my gratitude for a better solution arriving at my door the next day. I have reordered from Chichester's.

Product features say the length is 4 inches, width is 2", and height is 1". This is the approximate size of the BOX. The sterile eye pad itself is much smaller. The envelope inside the box says the sterile eye pad is

1 5/8 inches by 2 5/8 inches. The thickness is less than 1/8 inch. I find the product features misleading. The

pad itself was too small to help a family member who needed a large, absorbent sterile eye pad.

Arrived on time. Pads fit perfectly around eye area. Would have given it a 5 if the sides were a bit softer
