My horse has a terrible time with Summer Itch. This does seem to help and it's cheaper than Farrier's Wife. If put it on the inside of my mare's legs and on her belly button. It is a light pink color and you do need soap to remove it. It did stop the red broken patches she had from biting hard on the inside of her legs because she was so itchy.
