I got them at a rock bottom price and included them as stocking stuffers. The kids love them and they actually illuminate a good amount of light for a good amount of time.

Requires an absolutely non-tiring arm to get any light. After you crank a while & finally get the light, it doesn't seem like you can keep the light unless you continue to constantly crank it. I'd rather have batteries while I can.
