I have lived with an auto accident caused spinal cord injury for well over a decade and have found massage to be one of the few things to bring relief from chronic muscle pain body wide. I have (when I could still afford it) had professional massages at 60+ an hour, use an iJoy massage chair, and every evening use this Maxipro Thumper for an hour or more while watching TV. It DOES the job,,,,,,, and has been powerful and useful for 5+ years now. It is NOT a vibrator as one reviewer surprisingly suggested and "thump" it DOES. Unlike other handheld units (I owned the Mini Thumper but it quit on me after 1.5 years of this kind of use) the shape and weight of this make it perfect for placing in different positions for different body parts where a leg can lay on it or it can lay on the leg, etc. For the back, it can be propped easily and with some adjustments here and there does an excellent job of relieving deep muscle pains that nothing else works to relieve. The moment this one dies,, I'll order another immediately!

Added comment, The massager "died" last night and as I said, I ordered another immediately and from this Merchant in particular. I had the occasion to speak with the MFG after I took the unit apart to seek the reason for its demise and their top notch service dept. told me a way to keep it running a little longer and provided me a way to repair it when it gives it up permanently. So, this gave me reason to call the Merchant above and see how they handled my request to cancel the order. They were courteous, knowledgeable, and helpful and they deserve this notation. So, one more reason to buy this High Quality (and I've seen the inside) massage unit that may last my life time. I am not one who gives the highest praise easily but I DO for this dynamic duo. I'm a professional masseur and have been using a thumper on my clients for about 10 years. It's different from most massagers in that it has a percussive (thumping) action rather than a rapid back and forth action, so it's effect is deeper and more satisfying. Self thumping is difficult. I first was introduced to the Thumper when I went to the chiropractor's office for sciatica. The minute he placed it on my lower back, I knew that I had to have one. I walked out of the office pain free and remained so.

Due to medical problems which cause my legs to swell very badly, I must use some type of compression stockings. As they are difficult to put on, I have tried the tubigrip bandages. With the large roll, I can cut the appropriate size. They are much easier to put on and adhere to my leg w/o binding, and maintain the amount of pressure that I need. They wash well (line dry only), so I am able to reuse multiple times. Much more cost effective than stockings. I will continue to use.

The idea is exceedingly simple -it's a stretchy cotton tube. But there are so many uses for it. Many problems with joints, muscles and tendons heal much better if they're just kept warm.

Cut off enough to cover the area and slide your hand, arm or leg into the tube. For large areas, it's better to have two layers. Make sure you buy a size big enough so that it doesn't cut off circulation.

Highly recommended for arthritis sufferers, injured athletes and anybody who needs to keep warm.

I used this when TTC baby number 2. I was still breastfeeding my first, and my cycles/fertility signs were a little crazy. My previous cycle was 40 days, so I bought this because I knew I'd need a lot of tests to capture my surge. I used them daily (at 2 pm, not first morning urinewhich I really think is important) and there was always some form of second line. Micropore Medical Tape, White Paper - 3" x 10 yards

Just what we needed. Currently using and it works just fine. Nice that it comes 4 rolls to a box. Being used by person who is allergic to other types of tape. Easy to apply.

My "Wound Care" specialist recommended the 3M Micropore Tape for me since I am very sensitive to just about every other tape\adhesive that has been tried in the past. This has been a really good find as after two weeks of use I haven't had any reaction and my condition will likely require use of the tape for several more months.

The tape is strong and holds very well. I like that it is perforated and can be hand torn into convenient sizes at about 2" increments. Like all long term use tapes, it will leave some sticky adhesive residue on your skin when it is removed, but it is fairly easy to remove by gently rubbing the area with a warm dampened washcloth.

We also use 3M Micropore Paper Tape 2 x 10 Yds Box as well, with the same great results!

Hypafix Retention Tape 6" X 10 Yard Roll Each

Unfortunately, after surgery on a heel in July 2004 the wound remained opened. It required a daily change of a 3x3 that was secured in place via cling or other wrapping material any of which had to be secured by tape. It was an expense process and very bulky that made wearing a shoe uncomfortable.

Now, the 3x3 is now secured with two strips of the Hypafix tape at a cost far less than the previous method. There is little or no bulk, which is much more comfortable. Furthermore, although most tape products causes irration to my skin, this is not the case with continuted use of the Hypafix Retention Tape.

In terms of expense and comfort the Hypafix tape cannot be beat.

This is the best thing ever. Discovered it when I had a ulcers on my legs. Using it again with some wounds on the torso. Best bandage system ever.

I was so excited to find this product on Amazon. I too, like some other reviewers first used it because it is what we had at my work place. NOTHING, short of a perscription has ever worked better for me than this product, in actuality it has outdone , more than once, some of the perscriptions my doctor had given me. Top Shelf pain relief and it works pretty quickly.

My Pain Away has arrived and I am happy to say it works just as well as the one at work. I was concerned because another reviewer mentioned that it did not work has well as the original Pain Away. The ingredients on the packets I received are the same and in the same strengths as the ones at my office.

I also recevied 2 free samples with my order. One was a cold pill, my husband was in the middle of broncitis and on antibiotics when the samples came. He tried them and liked them better than anything else we had tried. The sample said reduces fever and contains an expectorant as well as the same dosage of acetameniphine and asprin as the Pain Away. So I will be ordering these for the future.

The second sample was a simple wipe for cleaning a certain kind of plastic on glassess plus computer screens. It was simply Isopropyl Alchol, I have sprayed that on my glasses in the past but it did not work well. I do not know if my glasses had whatever kind of plastic they were refering to but I used the wipe on my glasses and then just let them dry for a minute on their own. Worked as good as having them cleaned at the optomitrists office. I suppose I should see if just the plain alchol will work if I do not dry my glasses as suggested on the sample. Still I plan to order some to have handy in my purse.

So three great products, I love it.

All 3 of these products proved superior and I will be using them on a regular basis from now on.

Zippo Emergency Fire Starter Kit

Works as advertised.

I found the easiest way to open the wax starters is to twist them.

Have your tinder stacked on top of the starter, I was able to lite the starter on the first or second try each time.

I have already ordered replacement wax starters, and you will need them if you plan to try this out before hand.

If there is one drawback to the device it is that the o-ring only seals with some effort.

I have some concern that it would remain closed and waterproof.

This little thing rocks. I have a full collection of fire-steels and tinders, fire-starting materials, etc. I have probably 20+ different ways to start fires, and this is one of my favorites. The tinder sticks light easily when fluffed, and burn plenty long enough to ignite your sticks and what-not. The case is very solid very Zippo. Its weight feels slightly heavier than a regular zippo lighter. There is an o-ring type gasket around the opening where the lid closes snugly.

Compared to the spark lite kit i'd say this has a higher quality feel to it, and the container seems more water-proof. On the downside, it is considerably heavier than the spark lite kit, and less 'modular' One can achieve a more compact and lightweight kit with the spark lite by putting just one or two tinders in a small baggie with the striker. The zippo's striker does come out, but it's not really meant to be carried around that way.

This is a solid, reliable product and i would recommend it to anyone.

It is a flint sparker with a storage area for some fire-starters. That's all there really is to it.

Surprisingly heavy with a sturdy feeling a little more so than the regular Zippo lighters. There is a flipper there, just like the Zippo lighters and you can get the familar opening sound.

However, when closing, the o-ring deadens the sound and prevents full closure of the lid, until you actually press down properly. A good thing as it indicates that the o-ring is squeezing on the lid, which should keep the innards water-tight. I threw it in a sink of water and didn't notice any water ingress.

Having said that, I would recommend using a wide rubber band (like the type made from bicycle inner tubes) to ensure that the lid remains closed, but even if it were to open and flood the insides, the tinder would not be affected and you can quickly dry out the sparker by shaking or blowing out the excess water, followed by quickly striking it a few times.

The sparker is just as you would find on any Zippo lighter, except that it is turned 90 degrees so that the sparks fly out the front (i.e. the wide face) of the device. You pull it straight out and replace the flint by unscrewing the bottom, just like a typical Zippo. However, the screw does not have knurling on it to aid in grip, so you may have to use a coin or screw driver to loosen it. There isn't anywhere to store a spare flint, but each one should be good for quite a lot of strikes.

Replacing the sparker, you must note the direction of the wheel. You can accidentally insert it such that the wheel would throw the sparks on to the tinder.

I don't seem to be able to remove the black parts of the innards and I don't think you are meant to.

The tinder is pretty standard waxed cotton wool. It lights easily once you have frayed it and burns well. Twisting it seems to be the easiest way to fray it. They can be replaced with home-made versions if you don't want to shell out for the original stuff.

All round it is a good, sturdy, fire-lighting device, which can pretty much be operated with only 1 hand. It is too heavy for ultralight hikers, but should be alright for bug-out-bags, daily use (if you have a fire-place), multi-member expeditions (like a scouts camp), vehicular camping, etc.

Ordered this as an item to be included in my BOB (bug out bag). Quality does not live up to my expectation of Zippo products. Lid will not seat completely on the o-ring thus negating the waterproof aspect. Quality control on the tolerances could be improved.

It's very easy to start a fire with this kit. I had never started a fire from a spark before and it was very easy to do with this kit. I followed the instructions regarding opening up the tinder and spreading it out. That made it easy to catch a spark after only a few attempts. Once the tinder caught a spark, it burst into flames very quickly. The tinder itself doesn't burn as long as other larger firestarters, but using proper fire building techniques, this would be great in an emergency situation and much easier than using a match or a regular lighter. I'm using it as part of the emergency gear I have in my RV so I can "pack and forget" and have no worries about stale matches or evaporated lighter fluid.

The cover roll stretch acts as the first layer, directly on the skin. It provides no support at all, but sticks to the skin well, even when you get sweaty from sports. It's very stretchy so it moves with the knee. As a base layer it holds well so the Leukotape can do it's job.

A knee injury had me looking for methods to stablize/aid the joint. I tried this tape as well as the Kinesio Classic and here are my findings. First of all, I did the taping myself with my son's help (he's a personal trainer). I haven't been to the doctor since I know I'll be sent to this place and that for multiple tests, xrays and an MRI. Problem is, walking makes it worse so I'm hoping that with rest, elevation and taping it will heal on its own. If it doesn't, of course, I'll bite the bullet and take the medical route, but after years of horse injuries (both to them and me) I know things often heal on their own with time.

I bought both these types of tape, not knowing which might work the best. The Kinesio is a slightly better deal as you get 13.5 yards as opposed to 10 yards for this product for about the same price.

This product is lighter and has a smoother finish, but is not nearly as stretchy as the Kinesio. I have very sensitive skin and neither product caused a skin problem. This product is easy to remove from the backing as the backing paper is split down the middle so you only have to fold it a bit to get a corner of the paper to pull off. Actually though, I found application of the Kinesio was a bit easier once I got a corner of the backing free because the single strip of backing could be pulled away as you applied the tape which reduces opportunities for the tape to catch and stick to itself.

The real difference in the two types is in the finish, the weight and stretch. When you want to tape around the knee cap, for example, you need the tape to stretch and 'bend' so it lays smoothly. You want to support the joint/muscle, not immobilize it. If you need that level of help, you probably have a more serious problem that requires professional attention. In my case, I use this tape only in places that don't need to accommodate movement.

The slightly smoother finish means the tape is less likely to be pulled away by clothing like slacks or a shirt worn over the taped area. The lighter weight seems like it would be a bit cooler although I haven't noticed a difference. It stays on really well. In the end though I just find the Kinesio tape more comfortable because of the stretch feature. If you need to tape an area that doesn't require movement, though, this tape is a good choice.

Unlike other fats, trans fat -also called trans-fatty acids -both raises your "bad" (LDL) cholesterol and lowers your "good" (HDL) cholesterol." I called the manufacturer for a refund and they declined.

Transparent Heart Shaped Hot Water Bottle- Made in Germany

I honestly thought I'd been sent a child's size or manufacturer's sample in error. This is the smallest hot water bottle I've EVER owned in my life and I have a grown-up daughter. It seems well made, though has an ugly white thing (not shown in their photos) so you don't lose the cap. If I decide to keep this I'll cut that sucker off. What numskull would lose their hot water bottle lid?

Seriously tiny. Don't know what else to say. You could warm one foot at a time I suppose. And I am not a large person. Actually, ridiculous is a better word. Hot water bottles are for taking the chill off a bed or easing and comforting aches and pains. This certainly couldn't do the first, and your pain would have to be highly localized for it to help with the second. Too bad, because the actual material and the hearts are most attractive.

Just needs to be almost twice as big. Hope this helps someone else avoid my error.
