Decent price and quick delivery. Beyond Coastal brand gets good reviews from Environmental Working Group, which is where I first heard about it. There is some ingredient in most OTC SPF lip balms that causes my lips to peel. This one goes on smoothly with no white-ish cast. Seems to provide good protection. I spend a great deal of time outdoors and am thrilled to find a sunscreen lip balm with safe, effective ingredients that is also cosmetically acceptable. Convenient holder, too. Purchased two more.

The Chapstick itself was crap it broke apart first time I used it. I do like the holder though which is what I bought it for. Works good, holds my Chapstick. I have it clipped to my water bottle at the gym. Wish you didn't have to take the whole Chapstick out to use it but it isn't a big issue.

I had a nasty rash on my leg. After trying tons of stuff off the shelf, everything hurt/burned/stung/itched except this. This product was the ONLY thing I found that stopped the itching and burning feeling for about 8 hours at a time. The creme was also immediately soothing. The rash also seemed as though it started significantly healing the next morning after I began using this cream.

The lable says it has Emu oil, MSM, Aloe vera, and Vitamin C and is good for sore joints, minor sprains, bruises, scars, burns, abrasions. The ingredients (in order) are water, emu oil, some long scientific looking words, and then things like aloe leaf juice, coriander, ester C, white willow, echinecea, feverfew, St. Johns Wart, marigold, linden tree, grape. Fragrance is the last thing listed in a list that is long as your arm and it has a nice clean scent, something like baby powder. 4 oz is a nice sized jar (about 2 3/4" diameter, 2 1/2" high).

(I also keep a jar of tea tree oil cream, but the Emu oil cream worked better on the rash).

I have arthritis in my hands. Years ago, I discovered Emu Oil for joint pain. So many products I've tried have a nasty hot and/or cold ingredient. This Emu Oil Cream is just perfect!! This kit from ADC is exceptional. I don't mind the fact that its branded China. Tourniquet is great for non-priority patients that I wanna give some fluids to otherwise I'd just use the quick tie rubber ones. Knife is junk I replaced it with a rescue knife. Penlight could have pupil chart. I'm just picky. This is perfect for anyone who needs an auxillary carry kit.

For a basic EMT tool kit, this is excellent. The holster is solid, and the tools are good quality. Yes, you can spend a lot more, but the ready made kits all have the same basic tools. Amazon carries this kit for less than most other sites, and for the money, this one comes out the best value. One feature that I liked was that the holster has room to hold a few other tools besides the ones that come with it, allowing a degree of customization that some of the smaller kits don't have. Overall, I'm really happy with it. My wife uses it in her EMT class, and she says it does an excellent job.

Curad Non-Stick Pads, 2 X 3 Inches, 10-Count (Pack of 6)

I ordered this item back in the spring specifically because the picture on the item showed these were the non-stick pads with adhesive tabs. Obviously that is the item I wanted. I removed the first box from the plastic packaging and used it without issue. This weekend I removed a second box. Upon opening the pad I found there were no tabs. I looked carefully at the box and then carefully at the remaining boxes to find only the one box I initially used had the adhesive, all the rest were regular pads. I find this to be very deceptive and am really disappointed that amazon would pull something like this. Of course now it's to late to return them and get an exchange for the proper product. So if you're considering purchasing this item here is a picture of what you will ACTUALLY receive.

I wish these were easier to find in the stores. Tabs that stick on the side are nice and wide. I wish these were made in more sizes and I wish there was adhesive on all 4 sides. Perfect for wound care drainage, especially with the non-stick surface.

I've used these bandages for a long time. Being in construction cuts and scrapes happen a lot. I carry some in my lunch box, glove box, and depend on them. I like the ease of buying on Amazon for the convenience. My first place to look for something is Amazon. 5 1/2 Inch Bandage Scissor

Having four kids in sports and living on a farm, we always have someone wearing a bandage. I had a cheap pair of bandage scissors that came with a medical kit, but they often couldn't handle thicker bandages. When our daughter had surgery last fall and I had to change her dressing several times per day, I got disgusted with those scissors and bought these scissors to replace them.

These are much more substantial than the pair I had, and they're stainless steel so they will hold their sharp edge for years and never rust (I keep them clean and dry). I bought a coupe pairs of these for first aid kits. They cut things well, but they are on the small side. Get out a tape measure so you can see for yourself. They do appear to be stainless steel, and the edge is sharp enough to cut fabric and first aid tape, paper, fine. Good item to have on hand in case I need it.

Bought this along with other items for my wife's athletic training course. As I am normally the subject of her practice wrappings, these scissors help me sleep at night as I don't have to worry about here possibly jabbing scissors into my skin. The material used for this product is far too thin. While it may serve your purpose I would recommend a first aid bag with better quality materials and padding.

This is a good bag for the price. Its slightly bigger then the Rothco EMT bag that shows up in the related items next to the bag. Its a thin bag but has a decent amount of room for basic first response and first aid work. However this bag is not big enough to hold a BVM (Bag Valve Mask). It also lacks a padded insert dividers that many other bags have. But for the price this is not a big deal since I made my own.

We use these as medical patrol bags for the local rescue organization I run.

In short if you don't need to carry a BVM or a HUGE load of trauma gear this will be a great bag for you. I would recommend this bag for First Aid use or if you need a second BLS bag or a smaller bag to supplement another bag.

PROS: Low cost, decent sized side compartments, nice top handle for carrying, decently large main compartment, Strong nylon material for day to day use.

CONS: Plastic clips on the strap feel a bit cheap, No padded divider insert.

I started using Sacrzone years ago, due to acne scars and chicken pox scars. It has sunscreen in it, so I just used it in place of a moisturizer, then went on with my normal make-up, or not. I haven't been using it lately, but that's because I hadn't seen the large tub in stores lately (I know, order it through Amazon...) and when I only have a small tube I automatically use it more sparingly... which seems less effective, and more expensive. You get way more bang for your buck with the big tub. I have liked other scar reducing products, like Curad's scar patches, which were super expensive last time I checked (I used to buy them at Target for maybe twenty-something?) Acnefree had something pretty effective at one time that I had trouble finding again, and I think was kind of drying... I'd say this was the least complicated while still less expensive of the things I've tried. I mean, it's about $15, and you can spend that on moisturizer easily... why not use something that improves your skin in a lasting way while you do skin maintenance? Big fan. Big, big fan. I have been using this product for only a week and it has already lightened my scars and evened out the raised scars. I put it on twice a day. The only bad thing about this product is it says you have to rub the cream in for 2-3 minutes. I haven't done that, I just rub until it is gone, but I'm not sure if I am making it less effective. I can't rub them all in for 2 minutes because I have several scars, I'd be there forever. But other than that, this product is great!

I have suffered with dermatillomania (Google it) my whole life or at least as long as I can remember. I also have keratosis pilaris, so those two together = lots and lots of scars. I noticed improvement within the first week of using this product. I've been using it for about two months now. It is fading the pigmentation of my existing scars, and also flattening the scars I have that are raised. On my scabs/scars that are still healing, it seems to expedite the healing process and get the scab to dry up and fall off before I can pick at it (I am by no means condoning this habit the label does say NOT to use on broken/healing skin but I did and this is my experience with it... that doest NOT mean yours will be the same). I also use this as a face cream and any redness I had before diminished within the first two weeks. It keeps my skin smooth and supple looking, and doesn't cause my EXTREMELY sensitive skin to break out. The SPF is a nice addition to have, especially when using on the face.

This truly is a miracle cream. It has done wonders for me, and I wish I would have signed up on the auto-ship when this item was $32.95, because now it appears to be out of stock. Does anyone have any idea of when this size might be back in stock? Manual Suction Pump Medsource International

The idea of a manual suction pump is good but the execution is poor. The suction pump has 2 settings; adults and kids. It also comes with 2 tubes; one with wider opening than the other. The kid setting limits how far the handle on the suction pump can be pressed back so it creates much less (almost none) suction power.

As for its function, if an entire seal at the tip of the tube is created when suctioning, then you may see some suction created, otherwise it does not do much of anything at all. And in order to create any measurable suction at all, you would have to keep pumping fast (pressing and releasing the movable arm of the suction pump unit) to sustain the suction, which is not easy, especially if the operator is an elderly individual. I recommend not wasting your money on this product and getting an electric powered one where the suction is real, more powerful, and is generated a lot faster without suffering from operator fatigue.

I purchased this item to remove excess mucus from my throat, the result of surgery from throat cancer. It would pick up a little bit but never met my expectations as a thorough device. Perhaps the EMT's toward whom this is marketed have better success.

I ordered two of these devices for our medical unit, and both of them could not generate noticeable suction. Once device seemed to generate a tiny amount of suction (but nowhere near enough to pull liquid or solids out of a patient, up the tube and into the holding cup) but the other one seemed to be unable to generate any suction.

It's a great idea for portable, manually powered suction that can be carried in an ALS jump kit or airway bag, but this device will not meet your needs. Avoid.

Dettol Antiseptic Liquid from England 750ml Bottle (Pack of 2)

After using it for 14 days, this is my review. It is very easy to use mix with water and fill it in a spray bottle. I use it for cleaning the floor with Swiffer and much more.

I've used Dettol since I was a small girl and now I'm just thankful that I can purchase it in USA. I use it for cleaning everything. From itches on my legs/feet (after a hard & happy day's work in the garden) to cleaning all the sinks, counter tops, bathrooms, kitchen and the floors. Use the strength as per directed, when mixing it with water. Once mixed, the water will turn milky colored and you can smell it (the clean and healthy smell of my old home) but if you don't like the smell, don't worry. It dissipates quickly after awhile.

this product is awesome! does have a strong smell but just opened windows and turned on fans. you have to mix it in water. i wish it came mixed already. it turns white when you mix it. it's kinda cool. have folliculitis and my doctor said to try to the bacteria levels down on my body. (i know that's gross but i am a nurse... it's unavoidable). this actually helped my skin to start to heal after one use. it's a very good product!

I like dettol and have used it since childhood... I however never saw a dettol bottle without sealed cap... until now. There was a sellotape on the plastic cap. That's it. No other 'twist-to-break' seal or seal inside the cap. Disappointing.

Update : I have been dealing with skin disease (fungal infection) as a result of using this for more than a year. I never had this issue in my entire life and I wish I had never bought this. I do not recommend using it other than as disinfectant in mop bucket or some other similar cleaning use.

Tender Ben's 30% Deet 12-count Travel Wipes

Background: I got devoured by mosquitoes on a trip to Mexico in 2009, and the assault on my system was enough to land me in hospital 3 times in a single week. (During the first two visits to different hospitals, my condition was misdiagnosed and I was given the wrong treatments; the third hospital figured out that I had developed an allergy to the mosquitoes). It seems that because I was bitten so many times (over 50 bites), my body went into some sort of shock and ultra-defence mode. As a result, I now have a very heightened sensitivity to all bug bites.

With this in mind, I intended to use as many precautions as possible for my recent trip to Hawaii. Here's how I protected myself (I'll discuss Ben's wipes in a moment):

STEP 1:

Started taking Vitamin B Complex two weeks before departure. I chose one that had huge %RDA of each type of Vitamin B (I think B12 is the most vital), and always took it in the morning because it can cause really awful nightmares if you take it close to bedtime.

STEP 2:

STEP 3:

STEP 5:

Kept some antihistamine tablets handy just in case I felt overwhelmed by itching, but luckily I didn't have to take any.

STEP 6:

I also kept some anti-itch creams at the ready, but the "Zap it!" made them largely unnecessary. (Combined with the fact that the other steps had minimised my bites in the first place)

....So, now that you know my 6-phase plan of assault, back to Ben's 30% Deet Wipes.

As bug repellent goes, these are very good. My travel companion got eaten alive, because he wasn't really protecting himself (and hadn't taken part in my patented Six Steps to Mozzie Freedom!). After one particularly bug-infested hike, I had 6 bites and he had about 25. So in terms of a side-by-side experiment, the wipes in conjunction with my other steps performed very well.

PROS:

I am asthmatic and these didn't aggravate my lungs at all. The odour is pretty low compared to "Off" spray or any others I've tried.

Being wipes, they're super easy to apply.

Having individual packs is SO convenient for hiking.

I think 30% Deet was just right for most of our hikes, but we were beseiged in some rainforesty areas, so I got a handful of bites.

Pretty fair price for a pack with three boxes in it. I have a few left over, even though we were in Hawaii for 2.5 weeks.

CONS:

No major cons, but I was always careful to wash my hands after applying because I had read that Deet tends to melt plastic. It did remove my toenail polish whenever I made accidental contact with it.

It's a little greasy, but that didn't bother me.

The main thing that annoyed me was that once in a while, I'd open a sachet and the wipe would be BONE DRY inside. There wasn't even the slightest residue; it was like it had never been treated with Deet. This was a bummer because I was worried about running out of wipes (I ended up over-rationing them, which resulted in a few bites).

The occasional "blank" wipe is why I'm knocking off a star. Otherwise these are a very decent product and I'd recommend them for any mosquito situation, including for those of us with allergies.

I bought this three-pack for our safari in Kenya because of the high (30%) DEET content. The wipes were easy to open and apply, and it was great to be able to just throw a few packets into my pocket before heading out on a dusk game drive. In 14 days, I did not get a SINGLE mosquito bite (to be fair, I did not see many mosquitos at all throughout the trip, and we did stay in nice lodges with mosquito netting around the beds). I am a mosquito magnet and allergic to boot (when something bites me, the bite swells up hugely and itches like crazy), so the fact that I did not get bitten does say quite a bit about these wipes. Nobody wants to rub DEET on their skin, of course, but if I have to again, I will go with these.

My husband purchased these last year and we used them all summer. I have a hard time going outside after 5pm because I get bitten so badly...the bugs seem to be drawn to me more than my husband! These wipes are the best thing I have found for applying repellent to my toddler. They are exactly 30% DEET (the max recommended by the AAP for kids), and there's no accidentally missing spots with the spray, or worse, accidentally spraying him in the face as he squirms to get away. Best of all, my child is normally a mosquito magnet, and he was able to go outside at dusk for an hour without a single bite. A first!

Although a little expensive for a bit of duct tape, I've tried to unroll my own and make these kind of rolls for my backpack before but these are sure convenient.
