Answer Answer 20 Day Ovulation Test Kit

This test includes a reusable cup to pee into and a canister with 20 test strips that you dip into the pee.

The good:

*Helpful for women with irregular cycles who can't just guess which 7-day period they should be testing for LH surge.

*Inexpensive.

*Reasonably sensitive at picking up LH surge.

The bad:

*Once you open the canister, the strips can only be used for 30 days, so you can't use them across multiple cycles.

*You have to rinse and reuse the pee cup, although this didn't really bother me.

*It can be difficult to read. An LH surge is indicated when AT LEAST HALF THE WIDTH OF THE TEST LINE is as dark as or darker than the control line. It's not like other OPKs that indicate an LH surge when ANY part of the test line is as dark as the control line. Unfortunately, it doesn't say this anywhere in the instructions, so I thought my LH surge was lasting for 7 days (which is physically impossible!).

Despite its problems, I plan to buy this again next month because of my cycle irregularity and will make sure to interpret the results correctly this time.

I have PCOS, which causes my cycles to be longer than average, and my ovulation day fluctuates a couple of days each time, so this product is exactly what I need! I use it in conjunction with the ClearBlue EasyFertility Sticks and Monitor Package, 1ct and start using the Answer strips as soon as I get a high reading on my monitor. They worked like a charm for me! I got a positive reading on the Answer strips the same day I got a peak reading on my monitor. If you have a cycle that is not typical for any reason, or just want to pinpoint your ovulation day to get pregnant more quickly, this product is great!

Excellent value I definitely recommend. These strips take a little getting used to compared to the typical 7-pack opks, but I didn't have have any trouble reading them. Spending the $20/month on the regular kits with an irregular cycle wasn't working. In fact, after using the Answer kit just one month we have a BFP!

I bought this kit Dec 2006 I believe and I started using it right after my period ended the first week in January. The test showed me ovulating on January 11, 2007. So to make a long story straight I conceived and gave birth to a baby boy October 5th. So yes ladies I was lucky on the 1st try. And will buy it again when we are ready for the 2nd child.
