The aloe gel is sticky and uncomfortable when applied. The old lotion base was much better. As for pain relief, the 1/2% active ingredient just isn't enough. I bought a bottle of the old style Solarcaine on my last trip to Mexico. Not only was the lotion base much better, but it contained 4 times the active ingredients and gave real relief.

everything was perfect with this product. Arrived a little late but the solarcaine bottles were just fine.
