Expect they will function okay, but the usual flat metal base on the lower blade (to prevent jabbing a patient) is not present. Instead a gob of the same coating material as on the handle is on the front of the bottom blade. Do not know how long that will hold up.

Looks great and made a nice gift for a new nurse. A family friend really likes these scissor and have it with her at all times when at work.

the product i received doesnt matc the product indicated on the images. tip of the scissors i received has a plastic tip and the ones on the images has metal tips
