Z-Pak Dressing

It's exactly what i thought it would be, basically just a lot of gauze in a long rectangular sheet folded repeatedly to be a squuare you can shove in a wound and vaccum sealed. Nothing too exciting about it. Gauze is strong and absorbs water very well. I think it would work just fine for stopping bleeding. And with the price and size, this looks like a perfect item for stocking up multiple first-aid kits or for disaster preparedness. I might order fifty later down the road.

Perfect product, have in my trauma grab bags and in other kits as well. Great transaction, lowest price around. Can't recommend enough. By being vacuum sealed, take up much less room and you know it's sterile. Great all around.

I bought about a dozen of this item from Boundtree Medical to fill out my various first aid / trauma kits. No issues at all with the seller. As for the product, at about $0.65 less per than some other brands, it's an acceptable substitute for me.

However one fact that I discovered that was slightly disappointing is that while the packages appear to be sealed fine in their protective overpacks. They are not compressed to a rock hard condition like H&H. The issues i have with that are twofold-first, they take up more space, especially with the excess package material, and second, it's harder t tell if the seal (and therefore sterility) has been compromised. If the baseline is rock hard, then if you just discard or use for training the ones that have become soft.

Also I worry that the package itself might get opened more easily due to excess material the four tear-away notches being very easy to use.

Overall, I find these to be a good value, and will keep these around the house / shop and in hard cased kits where they won't be subject to too much abuse.
