Betadine is the gold standard of external disintectants. If you don't mind the strong smell of idodine there is nothing better to be had. I've used this since I was in a burn ward thirty years ago. With kids and their cuts and scrapes you can apply this with confidence and know you are protecting them against infection. This is what you want to have on hand in case someone at home gets hurt.

Disinfectant and surface skin cleaner does the job and has for a very long time. There are newer products but this is still one of the best. Beware of others that are understrength.
