I was disappointed with this tape but intend to try a wider tape. The one inch wide tape did not hold the ostomy wafer in place. I suspect the one inch was just too narrow for this type of use. This tape is well-thought of in the ostomy community and I intend to try it again. I did not order this thru amazon but I have such a strong dislike for it that I felt I need to share. I decided to try this and ordered thru my insulin pump supply company. I had issues with other tapes sticking and getting rashes (like tegaderm, IV 3000, hypaflix, etc) that I wanted to try this since it claims "adheres securely to skin that is wet, oily or hairy, yet is still gentle on delicate skin" and "waterproof". I have tried it several times and it does not live up to its description. It falls off after I shower (thus not waterproof), and with in a hour after putting on dry skin it is falling off. It does not stick well at all. Save your money and get something else. I went back to tegaderm.

I received this product when I was expecting the 3m brand that i always buy. It's basically the same thing, but a different maker. Kind of like a generic brand. The only difference is the individual packaging, it's basic. However, it's still sterile, waterproof, no latex, but at a cheaper price. This item is made by AOKI MEDICAL in china vs 3m, which is made in USA. I use it to cover my pain patches, and it works great. I will never use a band-aid again. I will buy again, and save at least half price vs 3m. The seller oferred me full refund if i didn't like them, even before i received them. I recommend this product.
If you only need to use one, and will never need to cover a larger area, then the AOKI would be OK.

Being able to purchase these covers in boxes of 100's is so much more economical than purchasing 20 to 40 boxes of eight covers at the drugstore. My "Wound Care" specialist recommended the 3M Micropore Tape for me since I am very sensitive to just about every other tape\adhesive that has been tried in the past. This has been a really good find as after two weeks of use I haven't had any reaction and my condition will likely require use of the tape for several more months.The tape is strong and holds very well. I like that it is perforated and can be hand torn into convenient sizes at about 2" increments. Like all long term use tapes, it will leave some sticky adhesive residue on your skin when it is removed, but it is fairly easy to remove by gently rubbing the area with a warm dampened washcloth.
We also use Box of 4 3M Micropore Surgical Tape 3" x 10 yds White 3M 1535-03 as well, with the same great results!
