I absolutely love this stethoscope!!!!! Great sound quality. Unique color (translucent red appears coral like in color) makes for a great talking piece with clients.

I ordered the translucent red/ cinnamon, boys beware its very pink, and I love the color. I've tried the Littmann light weight SE II but could only barely hear chest sounds, blood pressures yeah right! I'm currently in nursing school and test ran several of my class mates steths but nothing....so the problem is my ears apparently. I bought this one sight unseen, based soley off other reviews. I was estatic when not only was it a beautiful color, but added bonus I could hear, even in noisy enviroments. With the extra ear pieces, and peds diaphagm in the pack, I had the urge to double check my bank statement, no way did I get all that for under $30.

Special Pack of 5 SCHERING-PLOUGH NO POST CUSHION GRIP ADHESIVE 1 oz

I had full extractions and began wearing upper and lower dentures 6 months ago at the age of 47. I am sure all denture wearers know what a humbling experience this can be at any age and I was no exception, it was hard. After the initial healing period, bone loss and gum shrinkage occurred rapidly. My soft re-lines by the dentist held up two weeks, max. After reading all the great reviews, I purchased Cushion Grip from Amazon early on in my denture experience and it has been if not a life saver for me, a definite 'pride saver' as I cannot see the dentist twice a month. I have found it very easy to use and had no problems even the first time I used it. In addition to closely following the package directions, I recommend having a blow dryer handy until you become accustomed to the application. The tube must be warmed in a cup of hot water before squeezing the substance out at which time in comes out with ease in one piece. Before I became skilled enough to make the application quickly, sometimes it would cool down faster than I could shape the pliable rubber-like substance into my denture. That's where the blow dryer comes in. If it cools down and loses its pliability before you've finished shaping it into your denture, a warm blow dryer over the denture for a few seconds will soften it back up. Because I've had practice, I rarely have to do that any longer; I am able to properly apply and shape the substance to my denture in a matter of seconds. The outcome is much like a reline from the dentist. Given the speed by which my gums have shrunk, Cushion Grip has represented the most convenient and economical solution for me.

Pros: Very fast temporary reline once you get used to it. The box states that it lasts up to four days, but a single application has lasted up to two weeks for me. Prevents the friction and gum soreness from loose fitting dentures. Affordable. Dependable. Easy to remove in one piece (run cold water over your plate for easy removal or grip).

Cons: The grip does burn the gums for the first 2 or 3 minutes, but this was less intense for me over time. I does not serve as an 'adhesive' for me on my lower dentures as the tube suggests. I still need to apply an adhesive. If you do choose to leave the reline in more than a few days, you may start to notice sharp edges because the product becomes harder. I use this as my signal to remove the old Cushion Grip and apply new.

I know the use of Cushion Grip has prevented some embarrassing moments for me as a newbie to dentures. I would give it 5 stars if it did not claim to be an 'adhesive.' It is definitely more of a fast, convenient, temporary reline but I would not count on it alone to keep my lowers secure.

After getting upper dentures near three months ago my gums had two very sore spots. If your reading you know what its like. Can not enjoy food when the denture slips, it hurts. After 3 or 4 trips to my dentist it was better but still sore especially when they tilt or slip. I knew I had to take charge & find something that worked.I bought a reline kit but have not used it. I also bought the gooey adhesives that's a pain to remove, we've all been there.

Along come Cushion Grip & after reading reviews I was real sure my search was over. First of all it is NOT an adhesive, if that's what you really want look elsewhere. It is a very thick thermoplastic gel. I say gel but its barely liquid. In reality that is what you want. Something that is pliable, can be spread inside your dentures yet soft enough to conform to your gums. It did that far better than than the impressions my dentist made.

I said its NOT an adhesive but it conforms so well adhesive is not necessary. It conforms near to an exact fit & after biting down its a vacuum like a suction cup. That is what it does it creates a vacuum. It does not let air in so your dentures stay in place. My dentures were pretty loose, now the problem is gone.

I heat water on the stove, not boiling & leave the tube in for 5+ minutes. Meanwhile I use tooth paste & brush my dentures, making sure they are clean & dry. Then spread the gel & let it sit for at least ten minutes. You may not spread it quite right but you'll learn.

I said 10 minutes because it needs time to cure. I think some feel a burning sensation because they do not let it cure long enough. If you use a lot, let it cure longer. In my case a tube will do my uppers 4 times. So once cured put it in & push back & up, then bite firmly for about 15 seconds. It takes a little effort to remove them. If you did it right, cure time etc your dentures will fit tight & hold. If you did not allow enough cure time the thermoplastic might stick to you gums. That happened to me first time so a little more cure time & all was well.

If you've read this far be sure to read reviews similar to mine. This product works & works very well & it lasts a lot longer than stated by the mfg. Imagine that, how often does that happen? I got it from Pharmapacks well ahead of schedule.

REALLY these things are unreal on how well they work.

BTW In their packs they will last for years.

I had a bad steam burn on my knee, with one of these on my knee only a small blister appeared after a bad burn. We have also used them on the kids for a burn from the stove.

My neighbor suffered a bad burn from starting a fire with gas, which exploded, these probably saved him from having skin grafts. (Even the Docs commented on how well he healed.)

I had a very nasty steam burn on the inside of my arm and we used one of the Water Jel burn gel pre-soaked pads, then wrapped that up in gauze for a couple of days. MDF Infant and Neonatal Stethoscope

I am a Peds Nurse and have had the opportunity to try quite a few stethoscopes. I bought this scope to stick in the car as a backup because it was so competitively priced (about $24). The higher priced MDF stethoscopes I have used have worked great, so I thought I would give this one a try. Wow, what a mistake. It was made of this rubber, toy-like material,and it felt like something one would find in a Toys-R-Us "Lets play Doctor" kit. Despite its toy-like hand feel, I gave it a try on a 9-lb, 2mo adjusted age infant c trach and vent. The breaths sound were barely audible, and the heart sounds were so muffled that I could barely distinguish s1 from s2 -no matter where I placed the scope. The bowel sounds were audible, but it was an infant, so what do you expect. I would only recommend this product as a toy. For serious work, this stethoscope is far from good enough to make a safe, high quality assessment.

Exceptional clarity and quality. Excellent alternative to the higher priced name brand. Shared with colleagues and all are impressed.

Sovereign Silver First Aid Gel

My friend had a rescued hound dog who had a gaping wound above her right eye. The wound would continually ooze and not heal. You could actually see inside to the bone. In the summer time, the flies would attack it. She took this dog to numerous vets over a two year period and they could do nothing to heal this wound. Soooo.....we actually received this gift from my brother in law for the baby shower, and at the time, I remember thinking, "seriously? how boring...and how very cheap of you (I had no idea of the cost at the time)." I just figured this was one of those kits you see at Target...you know, the ones on the endcap in the pharmacy that contain like 15 bandaids, either too small to be useful or too big to use unless you did some serious damage, in which case you probably require professional medical attention, and a tube of generic neosporin. I tucked this away in our bathroom and never took it out..until I started my adventure making all of my own babyfood (and once in awhile adult fare). I should mention, I am NOT a cook, nor am I at all graceful...and that combination spells disaster in the kitchen. I cannot explain to you the times that this kit has saved my poor little hands when I needed it, with the appropriately sized bandage, and antibacterial cream. Oh, and when I broke my little toe this week on the edge of the coffee table? Surprise! Medical tape is right there in the kit...something I would NEVER buy until I needed it. And I do feel a little better having things that I would never, ever go out of my way to buy (such as the rescue blanket) around in case of emergency....and so I don't look like a totally neglectful parent. :)

So, long story short, this kit is now mounted in our bathroom (although I should probably relocate it to the kitchen, seeing as I am the one who utilizes it the most..ha!). After pricing out refills at target, I'm probably better off replacing the kit, as I have two boys at home (my son, and my rough and tumble husband) who will undoubtedly need that save a tooth feature sooner or later...sigh. Overall..bravo, brother in law..you actually bought an amazingly useful gift (it pains me to admit this to him...you have no idea).

I was looking for a good first aid kit for my camping pack that bridged the gap between efficient size and diversity of contents. Also, since I work in the healthcare field, I was a bit picky when it came to what contents I needed. This fit the bill!

Pros:

1) tons of stuff I don't think I need to go into much detail, since the product description lists all of the included items; but from this medical professional's perspective, this contained a great deal of important items.

2) well organized Things are color coded, plastic wrapped, clearly labeled, efficiently spaced, and well packaged. Things are not merely thrown into this kit; they are placed with intent and rationale. Things that go together, are located near each other!

3) extra space in the included box There was an extra few cubic inches in the included box. Whether this was purposefully meant or not, it allows you to throw in a few extra things you may want in your kit. For example, I was able to add iodide tablets, water purification tablets, mesh laundry bags, three vacuum shrunk towels, a 2L plastic water carrier, and a box of waterproof matches.

4) good compromise on size this fits very well in my camping day pack. It takes up enough space to add rigidity to my pack, while not being bulky or oddly-shaped (like my last strange first aid kit).

5) great price for the contents of this kit, the price is outstanding. Nothing more to say about it!

Cons:

1) Plastic box could be a bit more sturdy the plastic box is about the only thing I would improve on this kit. Definitely not a big deal, but I figured I couldn't write a review without at least one con! The latches that close the box don't feel very sturdy, and I suspect that after several opening and closings of the box, they MAY give out. Of course, this is entirely based on my perception of the box, and not any actual experience.

Overall impression? BUY IT NOW!!!

In my mind this is the perfect 1st aid kit for home, car, camping, workplace, or emergency supplies.

Come on, this thing has 49 reviews all of which are 5 stars... Buy it already!

This is a really good kit. Not perfect, but far better than what is available in drug stores. I outlined the pros and cons below to give a better idea of what the kit is about.

The Good:

Save-A-Tooth I'm required to have Save-A-Tooth in our office and I can definitely see why. There have been at least 3 teeth knocked out since I started, which is pretty incredible. Two came fromthe jungle gym alone. If you are a parent this should absolutely be a part of your first aid kit. Compared with the school catalog cost, the Save-A-Tooth is amazing.

Good Assortment There are still some items I would add but on a price vs. assortment scale this product gets a solid 9.5. Insect sting wipes, ace bandages, glow stick, lancet, rescue blanket, burn cream, splint and tooth saver are not items that you normally find all in one place. This kit has all the right tools for basic emergencies.

Certified Products We are required to have 510K sterile products at the office and certified Safety Manufacturing is the same brand we have on hand. This is great for me since I already know and use the same stuff and I really like the way their products work. I can say from experience that the sliding boxes are very convenient in the metal cabinet I use. I could definitely see myself refilling this box instead of buying a whole new one.

Quality If you haven't tried Certified brand products, you are in for a treat, there's a reason why most nurses buy stuff from the school catalog instead of drug stores. Aside from it being way cheaper, the products are also far superior. For example, Most of the drug store kits have medical tape made of plastic, meaning whatever you put on will be sweaty and gooey by the end of the day. The stuff in this kit is breathable meaning that it stays on and stays cool. Did I mention that I love Certified Products?!

The Bad:

There's not much to say that would prevent me from buying this kit again, but I do have two small gripes that hold it back a little.

No CPR Barrier I see at least one or two CPR emergencies a year in my line of work. This is something I think everyone should have in their kit. To be fair, this item is still very uncommon in most kits still and they are kind of expensive. I would still strongly encourage anyone reading this to add one to this kit.

Poor Instruction Sheet I know what I'm doing. but a lot of people may not. The items do have instructions printed on the boxes but it's FDA formatted which is a little difficult for the average reader. The instruction sheet inside the Save-A-Tooth is a stark contrast. It is fully illustrated and formatted for the average every day person. I wish the main instruction sheet was the same, or even better, combined.

Box needs to be bigger I understand that they are trying to make the kit full, but having the icepack, instructions and glow stick on top limits access to the otherwise very convenient sliding box layout. A bigger box would also mean that other boxes would be ordered from Certified Safety which would make it expandable.

Overall Impression:

Clean white box, 510K sterilization, comes from the USA, sliding boxes, tooth saver, and a good assortment. Instruction sheet and CPR barrier aside, this is a VERY good kit and it really does live up to its "Complete" title. Throw this kit in your cart along with a first aid book and a CPR barrier and you will be all set for home emergencies.

First, I must say the seller of this product was amazing. It was a day late and they were so nice in letting me know it is on its way and communicated with me a number of times via e-mail. This did work for my baby and cleared up the yeast. I used very little and dabbed it on a q-tip and rubbed it on her cheecks and tongue. It can also be used on nipples as well. The 1% solution is perfect since it does not need to be diluted further before use.

I ordered this as an alternative fix for oral thrush after a hospital stay. The product did the trick, it worked quickly, and I would use it again. It has the potential to be VERY messy if using it on a child or infant, but as an adult I didn't have any staining (other than my mouth) or messes. I did get some on the sink, but I washed and bleached it right away and it was no issue. The first time I dipped the q-tip far more than necessary and ended up applying way too much. Keep in mind that you don't need to saturate the q-tip as much as you might imagine. Other reviews had mentioned that gentian violet has "no taste" but I absolutely disagree, it does taste pretty bad but it's worth it. Remember it is not good for you to swallow this, so stay near the sink and spit a few times afterward to make sure you won't be swallowing it.
