It was hard to tell which pepper spray to get. Most people do not test them. Once I got my package of four, I took one out.

First off, thumbs up for the easy to remove package. I didn't have to find a knife. The clam pack was easy to open, and the product came right out.

Now, the ding for the one star. It is way too easy to use the stuff. The instructions say something about removing the actuator. There is no actuator. There is a space between the trigger and the top. That's it. It seems like it would be easy for the trigger to get pushed down. I could see this in a purse, and some keys move around, and push down on the trigger. It makes it easy to access, but safeguards are minimal.

I took the spray out to the garage for a test spray. I stood about 20 feet away and gave it a shot. The spray flew straight, true, and strong. It hit the door with a thick stream. I then went up and took a small sniff.

Holy f***. I was coughing and crying immediately. I was laughing for an houring after because I could still feel the effects.

One of these is going in my car, one in my motorcycle jacket pocket, one next to my bed, and one for my wife. This is a great deal. Everyone should have some pepper spray.

I purchased the 4-pack OC spray to carry in my two vehicles and store near my front and rear house doors. The price is very good for 4 three-ounce containers. The OC is 17% so it is the strongest I have seen. Many listed for sale are less but my experience is that 16-17% is best. I tested each and had no trouble hitting a target 10 feet away. I immediately reacted to the backspray so I'm confident that if I have to use it, it will be a good distraction. It did leave a biege-yellow color on the target, which I did not expect (the last I had was colorless) but does not detract from the effectiveness. Be aware these are fairly large containers (about 5in tall and over 1in in diameter). Package was delivered as advertised. Definately recommend.

I bought five 4-packs so far and will probably buy more because at this price, I can hand out multiple bottles to my family members, friends, and even coworkers and still have extras for anyone I meet or remember later that might need some. I sent a 4-pack to my parents, telling my mother, "leave one in the kitchen (away from the stove, obviously), put one where you sit at the computer, put a bottle where you sit and quilt in the afternoon...you can have them throughout the house where if you need one, there is one close by". I really like this delivery system with the button on top rather than the kind that have a tab that you can set to SAFETY. These are better in my opinion because they have the plastic top that keeps you from accidently setting it off, but the gap between the button and the safety tab is placed so that your finger naturally goes into it, ready to deploy the spray. I like this better because you can grap the with the intention of using either your pointer finger or thumb and the bottle feels secure in your hand. If you have to grab for the bottle in a hurry, you don't have to worry about the SAFETY tab being set.

Out of the five separate times I have ordered this 4-pack, four of them were this bottles pictured in the description. However, this last order came as a four pack of the other type of bottle, with the red tab. I didn't return the items because they are still a good product, just not the delivery system I prefer.

Like I said; 4 cans I got wheren't In any package other then a plastic white bag, Very used look to them, stickers on the cans were worn off in spots. Im sending these back for a refund.

DenTek Toothache Kit

Even as a trained dental assistant I found this hard to use and wouldn't classify it as temporary, since it doesn't stay in long enough to make a difference.

I am disabled, without dental insurance, and live on SS. I have two teeth broken at the jaw line and two teeth that have uncovered, incomplete root canals/crowns. Without the items in this kit, I would not be able to continue life.

I eat nearly a liquid diet, but occasionally I bite down incorrectly and impact an exposed nerve or tooth pulp. For those of you who have experienced this, you know the level of pain. For those who don't, I sincerely hope you never experience it. Think of the impact and abruptness of a solid electric shock delivering a bone deep, intensely sharp pain instead of the numbing 'thump' of an electrical shock.

When this happens, I dry around the tooth, the tooth and the cavity in the tooth. I use clean tee shirt material for the drying and push some between my cheek and gum to soak up saliva while I put the small compressed piece of cotton ball I previously LIGHTLY dipped in the Eugenol, (Eugenol is clove oil, an intensely hot chemical oil it WILL blister the skin in large enough quantities if not wiped off). I also have a prepared glob of the Temparin filling material on the plastic tool, and as soon as the cotton ball is securely tamped in place, I spread the temp filling material, (it's clay-like), across and gently into the cavity. If I jab it in the cavity, and apply even a little bit of pressure, it compresses the nerve or tooth pulp, and it's as bad as biting down on it. So, I have learned to wipe across, and SLIGHTLY down into the cavity.

I then use a corner of the tee shirt material to spread the filling material so it completely covers the cotton ball, and I don't worry about the excess.

The Eugenol instantly stops the pain instantly. The filling material hardens over the course of several hours, and if careful, it will last 3-5 days. Within a few hrs, I typically can't taste anything from the Eugenol. I never leave them in for more than 4-5 days, since the unclean tooth damage is covered up, and an infection could start if I left the filling covered the area too long.

This is not a permanent fix, but it does kill the pain, and will last entirely long enough to make a difference. I WOULD not live without this.

I recently had a filling fall out that was very close to the nerve and I was in an incredible amount of pain until I could get a dentist appointment. I tried this product after Ambesol no longer relieved the pain and all suggested home remedies didn't do anything. I was in so much pain that I placed the cotton swab into the clove oil and spread it on my gum... not reading the very tiny and brief instructions to not get the oil on any tissue, only on the tooth! Immediately my mouth was burning so I washed it out with water many times til the burning went away. It did numb me up but then I felt as if I just got back from the dentist with a fully numb face! It also swelled up a little but the next day, my cheek, lips and chin puffed up and became hard, with no feeling whatsoever. I read that other people have had this happen and it might last over a week... Well, it has been 3 weeks now, and I am still numb (although not as much it has reduced some and is not as hard). I now fear that it will never get better and I will not regain feeling in my lip and inside of my cheek.

so if you use this product, beware to only use a very little amount of clove oil and ONLY use it on your tooth! (it does work to numb the tooth...)

I knew that for a price of $16.50 ( the 2.0 / one color version above ) it wouldn't be a major kit stocked to the brim with name brand items, but I am certainly pleased with what I received. The items which had expiration dates were either 2014 or 2016. They give a description of contents, but I've also uploaded some pictures above showing the contents and its size by placing a dollar bill next to it for scale. I had a hard time deciding whether or not to spend more $ for a different kit, but in the end decided to just get a well-received kit at a modest price and use it mainly for the car and as a means to refill our larger kit in a pinch. I really can't comment on the quality of the items, other than saying they look as though they will get the job done, they were all sealed and in perfect condition and again , the exp dates were a few years ahead. The scissors and tweezers do indeed seem cheap, but as long as they work, I'm happy.

Polysporin Ointment, 1-Ounce Tube

You must becareful using any topical ointment as they can cause a skin reaction. I did my dermatology rotation and they only ever advised vaseline because topical antibiotic ointments tend to have ingredients such as lanolin and/or mineral oil, substances noted to cause allergic skin reactions. Why I like this? Because the only inactive ingredient is white petroleum aka vaseline. No mineral oil or lanolin to be found. If you have sensitive also avoid balsam of peru.

Early this year, Polysporin was recommended by a dermatologist after I had a biopsy taken, to prevent an infection.

Just yesterday, a very small scratch on my hand came in contact with raw poultry. Even though I washed it many times with soap and water, within hours the cut started to show signs of infection: it turned bright red, it was no longer a thin pink scratch, but was now an area a little larger than a dime, and was getting swollen.

First I tried washing it with soap and water. No luck. Then, salt water solution. No luck. Tried rubbing alcohol. No luck. It was starting to look worse like it was getting larger. Reluctantly, I knew I had to use some sort of medicine although I try to use as little as humanly possible. Within 30 minutes of re-washing the wound with soap, applying the Polysporin ointment with a sterile gauze and tape, the area changed from bright red to light pink. Within a few hours, there was barely any pinkness left. By morning, you could only see the line of the scratch, but no sign of swelling, redness, no pink color it looks good.

It seems a good idea to keep changing the dressing twice a day, as my derm doc had me do for that biopsy site: washing the area with soap and water, drying it with a clean/sterile gauze, and then re-apply the polysporin covered with sterile gauze and tape to make sure it finishes healing, of course.

All in all, I think this Polysporin saved me a trip to the doc on Monday. Thank goodness for that! Highly recommended. Just make sure you don't use it for longer than a week unless your physician tells you to. The med is fairly powerful and not for long term use. It is never to be used internally, but is only approved for external use.

POLYSPORIN:

Active Ingredients: Each grams contains: Bacitracin Zinc (500 units), Polymyxin B Sulfate (10,000 units)

Compare with NEOSPORIN:

Active Ingredients: Each gram contains: Polymyxin B Sulfate (5,000 units), Bacitracin Zinc (400 units), Neomycin (3.5 mg)

Note that this Polysporin is a double antibiotic and contains MORE units of Bacitracin Zinc and Polymyxin B Sulfate than Neosporin ointment does. My dermatologist told me not to use the Triple Antibiotic Neosporin because the third antibiotic in Neosporin, Neomycin, is a common allergin for many people. Although anyone can be allergic to anything at all her recommendation was not to tempt fate by using a product with Neomycin at all especially since I tend to be allergic to almost everything.

The great thing about this kit is that everything in it is easy to find. The kit unzips and folds out. Everything is in mesh compartments that you can see through. I'm lost in plastic box kits with square compartments if I was in a state of panic dealing with an injury, I would never be able to find what I needed with one of those kits. I suffer from Chron's disease and have used Gold Bond for years to ease the pain & itching caused by my illness & related surgeries. It's truly amazaing stuff and I have not been able to find anything like it outside the US.

I really like this body powder, but I especially appreciate having it within arms reach in the summer and this has been one long and sticky summer which started for me in March.

It has a nice scent of menthol; not too strong but pleasant and fresh. I use it right out of the shower with a sprinkling on an oversized powder puff. It goes on easily and does not clump. By the time I'd get in full breakout mode I'd have nasty little red lumps on my arms and would topically apply calamine lotion to alleviate the itching and burning. Since I have been using this I haven't had any problems with rashes. The added bonus is that it leaves my skin smooth and dry.

This is maybe a bit more expensive than most of the body powders out there, but it is worth the extra cost because it works and is extremely pleasant to use. I may be sweating on the inside, but you'd never know it on the outside. I can't put a price on the confidence using this gives me.

ID Juicy Lube

I have been a fan of ID Glide personal lubricant for some time now, but I finally decided to break down and get their other product ID Juicy. Well, I was not disappointed! Like ID Glide, ID Juicy is a water-based lubricant, which means that it is condom and toy friendly, and is quick and easy to clean up. But, unlike ID Glide, ID Juicy has a strong scent and flavor, and a really playful scent and flavor at that!

Now, there's an up-side and a down-side to the potency of this product. If your lover picks a flavor you really like, then you'll like the aroma drifting around you, and it will add a certain zip to your oral play. But, if your lover picks a flavor that you are not too fond of, it will be quite distracting and off-putting.

So, while I don't like using ID Juicy every time, I do like having it around for certain special occasions! So, be careful in your choice, but buy this product. You won't be disappointed.

FYI: In general, there are three types of lubricants and each has its pros and cons. Water-based lubes are easy to cleanup and are unlikely to cause yeast infections, but on the down side they do need to be renewed every half hour or less due to drying. Oil-based lubes tend to have maximum slipperiness and last longest, but can lead to yeast infections and tend to break down latex condoms and toys quite quickly. Silicone-based lubes fall in between these two, being slicker and longer lasting than water-based lubes, but they do require longer clean up times, can stain sheets and clothing, and will eventually break down silicone toys.

I purchased this for my girlfriend and I for adding some spice to oral play and improving the taste.

It tastes okay, but it's rather thick and extremely sticky and messy, adding more mess to an already messy process. In addition, there is still a lube taste to it, and the flavoring is a bit strong, so you have to be sure to use enough to mask the taste but not so much as to make a huge mess and overwhelm yourself.

We've used it a few times since buying it, but ultimately, we usually avoid it due to how sticky and messy it is mixed with the flavoring being a somewhat acquired taste. It's decent enough, but I definitely won't be buying it again. If you're looking for a cheap enough way to add flavor to your oral experience without risking infections, this will work, but overall, we generally avoid using it.

I always keep Meclizine tablets in our medicine cabinet, mainly to combat nausea and vomiting with food poisoning or the flu. It helps to settle the stomach and calm the dizziness, and it's safe to take as directed. These are the same drug as Antivert, which is used for vertigo and tinnitus. It also works better than the drug in Dramamine.

I like that these are individually packaged in adult doses (2 pills per pack) because it makes it easy to tuck a few packets in my purse, the car medical kit, my husband's travel kit, and in our 72-hour bags. We probably won't ever use the entire 100 pills before they are expired, but at 10 cents per pill (20 cents per dose) they're an inexpensive investment that we'll be glad we have with all the flu that's been going around.

Meclizine can cause drowsiness, so be careful driving after taking it. But that same drowsy effect is great when someone is vomiting and needs to rest.
