Dynarex Adhesive Tape Remover Pad - 100 ea

This product is wonderful for removing the leftover stickiness from bandaids, patches of all kinds and is kind to the skin. In the past I would have used finger nail polish remover. Not any more!

This product was first discovered by me when my brother was going through cancer and his pain patches left silicon stickiness on his skin. You would think it would be available or better known for those of us who wear different types of patches which state that alcohol removes the adhesive left behind.

This is a product every one should know about!

This product promises to help with tape and adhesive removal, and it really doesn't do much of anything. I don't expect miracles, but I did expect some result and didn't get it. If you use the pads to rub on the tape or adhesive and let sit for several minutes, then take soap and water to it you can get results that way, but basically this is a waste of money. The main ingredient is mineral oil, so save your money on these pads, buy some cheap mineral oil. Apply the mineral oil, let it sit, then use soap and water and you have the same effect for a tenth of the price!

My 9 year old son was bitten by a dog in his face a few months ago. He must use a special patch every day, and it is very difficult peel off of the face every night. This product literally changed our lives, it doesn't hurt at all the process of taking off the patch, and also the product has no strong odor (like others). The only detail is that it is a bit oily, so be careful with clothes ... but I recommend it 100%

MDF® ER PremierTM Stethoscope Color: Black

I'm an RN working CCU. I've had mine for a year. The sound is acceptable for general physical and lung/heart sounds assessment and the tubing is long enough for my needs. I can easily hear murmurs and bruits and faint lung sounds. But the stethoscope has some design issues. The heavy weight tubing is stiff and the connection between the diaphragm/bell is too loose for my liking. This combination causes the connection between the two to twist and lose it's ability to conduct any sound. I have to adjust my grip, angle, and sometimes ear pieces in order to get a good assessment done. This really slows me down, especially if a quick assessment is necessary. It's a durable stethoscope, but it's design slows down assessments. Also, the pediatric diaphragm is difficult to remove and put back on. It takes some bending and prying to get it right. I'm switching to an easily convertible stethoscope such as ADC or Prestige. I've given it 3/5 for its sound.

Great stethoscope although heavier than littman sound quality much better. Mdf are the ones who made littman famous the they become competitors when they broke apart littman are made from aluminum and mdf from stainless steel since it is more dense than aluminum it conducts sound better so therefor the added weight i currently own both stethoscopes and prefer the mdf for sound quality

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream

I have very sensitive reactive skin due to allergies and eczema. I can never use moisturizers because I always end up having an allergic reaction. I have dehydrated skin. At first I thought this lotion was doing a good job, but as I kept using I noticed it made my skin extremely oily, and my skin erupted in whiteheads and little pimples everywhere. I didn't realize it was the lotion until I accidentally skipped a day of application, and I noticed a great improvement in my skin. I guess I'll stick to drugstore products for now.

However, my friend had a really bad case of eczema and this lotion helped her tremendously. So while it didn't work for my skin type, perhaps you should still give this a try.

I bought this product because I have a central line that I need to keep dry when I shower. The product leaked and I had to have a nurse come and change out my dressing. Never again. Besides, I found a better product called LiquaShield that doesn't leak and you get 7 sheets in a pack & it costs less than Aquaguard's 5! Do the math...this was a no-brainer for me.

I am a breast cancer survivor who had a bi lateral mastectomy. Upon being discharged from the hospital I was instructed to keep my incisions dry while showering. The nurse suggested I use saran wrap and tape. Once home I researched protective moisture barriers and ended up purchasing Aqua Guard. Aqua Guard was an amazing product much easier than saran wrap and tape. When applying the self adhesive moisture barrier you have to be sure to place it correctly. "Top" needs to be applied to the top of the breast as to avoid leaking. The two bottoms sides have small opening to allow tubing to go through. I had full extractions and began wearing upper and lower dentures 6 months ago at the age of 47. I am sure all denture wearers know what a humbling experience this can be at any age and I was no exception, it was hard. After the initial healing period, bone loss and gum shrinkage occurred rapidly. My soft re-lines by the dentist held up two weeks, max. After reading all the great reviews, I purchased Cushion Grip from Amazon early on in my denture experience and it has been if not a life saver for me, a definite 'pride saver' as I cannot see the dentist twice a month. I have found it very easy to use and had no problems even the first time I used it. In addition to closely following the package directions, I recommend having a blow dryer handy until you become accustomed to the application. The tube must be warmed in a cup of hot water before squeezing the substance out at which time in comes out with ease in one piece. Before I became skilled enough to make the application quickly, sometimes it would cool down faster than I could shape the pliable rubber-like substance into my denture. That's where the blow dryer comes in. If it cools down and loses its pliability before you've finished shaping it into your denture, a warm blow dryer over the denture for a few seconds will soften it back up. Because I've had practice, I rarely have to do that any longer; I am able to properly apply and shape the substance to my denture in a matter of seconds. The outcome is much like a reline from the dentist. Given the speed by which my gums have shrunk, Cushion Grip has represented the most convenient and economical solution for me.

Pros: Very fast temporary reline once you get used to it. The box states that it lasts up to four days, but a single application has lasted up to two weeks for me. Prevents the friction and gum soreness from loose fitting dentures. Affordable. Dependable. Easy to remove in one piece (run cold water over your plate for easy removal or grip).

Cons: The grip does burn the gums for the first 2 or 3 minutes, but this was less intense for me over time. I does not serve as an 'adhesive' for me on my lower dentures as the tube suggests. I still need to apply an adhesive. If you do choose to leave the reline in more than a few days, you may start to notice sharp edges because the product becomes harder. I use this as my signal to remove the old Cushion Grip and apply new.

I know the use of Cushion Grip has prevented some embarrassing moments for me as a newbie to dentures. I would give it 5 stars if it did not claim to be an 'adhesive.' It is definitely more of a fast, convenient, temporary reline but I would not count on it alone to keep my lowers secure.

After getting upper dentures near three months ago my gums had two very sore spots. If your reading you know what its like. Can not enjoy food when the denture slips, it hurts. After 3 or 4 trips to my dentist it was better but still sore especially when they tilt or slip. I knew I had to take charge & find something that worked.I bought a reline kit but have not used it. I also bought the gooey adhesives that's a pain to remove, we've all been there.

Along come Cushion Grip & after reading reviews I was real sure my search was over. First of all it is NOT an adhesive, if that's what you really want look elsewhere. It is a very thick thermoplastic gel. I say gel but its barely liquid. In reality that is what you want. Something that is pliable, can be spread inside your dentures yet soft enough to conform to your gums. It did that far better than than the impressions my dentist made.

I said its NOT an adhesive but it conforms so well adhesive is not necessary. It conforms near to an exact fit & after biting down its a vacuum like a suction cup. That is what it does it creates a vacuum. It does not let air in so your dentures stay in place. My dentures were pretty loose, now the problem is gone.

I heat water on the stove, not boiling & leave the tube in for 5+ minutes. Meanwhile I use tooth paste & brush my dentures, making sure they are clean & dry. Then spread the gel & let it sit for at least ten minutes. You may not spread it quite right but you'll learn.

I said 10 minutes because it needs time to cure. I think some feel a burning sensation because they do not let it cure long enough. If you use a lot, let it cure longer. In my case a tube will do my uppers 4 times. So once cured put it in & push back & up, then bite firmly for about 15 seconds. It takes a little effort to remove them. If you did it right, cure time etc your dentures will fit tight & hold. If you did not allow enough cure time the thermoplastic might stick to you gums. That happened to me first time so a little more cure time & all was well.

If you've read this far be sure to read reviews similar to mine. This product works & works very well & it lasts a lot longer than stated by the mfg. Imagine that, how often does that happen? I got it from Pharmapacks well ahead of schedule.

I find that cushion grip helps me with the fit of my dentures. I had a friend try it and he did not like it at all. For me it keeps my teeth from moving around. I should get them refitted, but this, for me, is a lot better right now.

SOF Tourniquet (BLACK) - Generation II

First, let me say I have not had to/gotten to use this, yet. That being said, I think this tourniquet has everything an emergency responder (or anyone who knows how to use a tourniquet) would want. I especially like the redundant securing setup--you can use the triangular "rings" to secure the "winder", and you can also tighten the set screw to hold the strap in place once the tourniquet has been successfully placed into postion. I would personally attempt to use both, but I believe the set screw will hold by itself. The price of this unit is a couple more bucks than Gen 1, but I believe having the set screw for extra peace of mind is well worth that couple bucks. There are fancier, more expensive units out there, but based on the tourniquets I've seen, I believe this one is the best one all around, so far.

This is a great item in terms of its function. Each individual must decide whether it is appropriate for their medical kit. It is not the least bulky of items and it is not the lightest. But if you are in a situation where profuse appendage exsanguination is probable, this is a lifesaver, literally. If that is not likely, you can probably do well with cravat bandages and a "found" windlass.

Sounds crazy, but I tape these babies over my forehead wrinkles when I go to sleep and when I wake up it's like magic: they're gone! The look lasts for about 3-4 hours, not all day, but they definitely aren't as pronounced through the rest of the day. I read about this as an alternative to using something called "frownies" to help smooth out wrinkles overnight. This is a lot cheaper and lasts longer too.

Nexcare Flexible Clear Tape is excellent for use as a first aid tape. I can wear it all day or all night and it does not come off until I take it off. When I do take it off, it doesn't pull my skin off with it. I like that it comes in a tape dispenser just like Scotch tape. I always have a roll handy. It's there when I need it.

This product was shipped quickly. The adhesion power of this tape is EXCELLENT. I used it on the lip plate of my B foot Lazarro flute. I had to double up on the tape because it is porous. But, it really protects my lips. I have had ZERO break outs since using the tape. I've been practicing a lot and, unfortunately, I'm allergic to the Nickel on the flute. Now I can practice for hours at a time without worrying about allergic breakouts on my lips. I am very happy with this product.

Redmond Clay is amazing!

I cut myself far too frequently while sculpting and unfortunately some of the materials are not "non-toxic". I used to apply Neosporin or Bactine and it would take 1-2 weeks for a cut to heal. I had some powdered Redmond Clay and decided to mix it with water and apply it to a really nasty cut that was getting worse with Bactine.

Within 12 hours the swelling and pain had subsided and after 24 hours the redness was gone and the cut was closing up. On the third day I no longer needed a bandage.

After using the clay with great results on a few more cuts, a mosquito bite and a spider bite, I decided to purchase the First Aid tube. The consistency is perfect and it is really convenient.

Tecnu First Aid Antiseptic & Pain Relieving Gel, 2 oz. Tube

In searching for the now almost impossible to find StaphAseptic, I ran across info online about an FDA objection to wording on the StaphAseptic packaging. Tec Lab, the mfr. has relabeled and renamed it "Tecnu First Aid Antiseptic & Pain Relieving Gel" -but ingredient-for-ingredient -it is the same excellent product.

There are still leftover quantities of StaphAseptic around for sale at grossly inflated prices, as is typical when an item is discontinued or updated and changed in some way. (You'll see it here on Amazon, for example)and fans who love it may be tempted to stock up, but don't be ripped off! I read the 3 reviews above and they are right on! It is Staph-A-Septic in new packaging, in fact the tubes read the same manufacturer.

I use this on everything!!! It is the greatest first aid cream/gel/ointment hands down I originally bought Staph-A-Septic to treat a mild to medium case of MRSA on the skin, which looked/felt like spider bites. In conjunction with Hibiclens it really does the job that antibiotics could not. Even in the FDA study it says it is more effective than other compared creams/gels.

In our house we keep this stuff on hand and ready, we are very glad to see it is being sold again!!

I've used the Neomycin products for years with great results: no infections result. I bought this just to try after I found in on Amazon by accident. I've only used it once without any issues. Does it work better? Hard to tell. The box says it seeps into the wound instead of sitting on top and blocking out oxygen needed to heal wounds, so in that way it is better. Only time will tell on other wounds.

I have used many topical first aid gels over the years, but Tecnu outperforms them all. I have a propensity to burn myself frequently. A few minutes after applying Tecnu to a minor burn, the pain and swelling subside. My son burned his arm today on a hot ladder. I gave him some Tecnu to rub on the burn; he too was impressed at how well it worked. It is truly an amazing product.
