Essential Medical Supply Free Spirit Knee and Leg Walker

Essential Medical Supply Free Spirit Knee and Leg WalkerI have rented one of these for $120 per month. I have a foot injury which just won't seem to heal. I tried using crutches and they're so hard on the rest of your body. This device puts a little stress on the good foot, but nothing like crutches, and very little strain on your upper body. It has sturdy, wide wheels that roll very smoothly. The rear wheels being placed close together leaves space for the foot that you are propelling yourself with. The front wheels turn pretty sharply, but due to the length of the unit, the overall turning radius is still pretty big. The front tiller folds down for transport, although it doesn't lock in place in the folded position, so it can flop around when you try to pick it up to stow it in the car. The mechanism to lock/unlock the tiller in the upright position is a little cumbersome, but workable. When I got the unit, the tiller was unstable when I leaned on it, but I was able to tighten various joints to eliminate this problem. In addition to resting your knee on the pad to move about you can sit on it to do tasks. The brakes are pretty effective and the unit feels quite stable, so I have no fear of gliding down a long decline. It's possible to go up or down a short step, but a little tricky. The unit is very solidly built, with heavy duty welds at all major joints. It is also a little heavy for getting in and out of the car.

I'm writing this first of my Amazon reviews because I am a huge fan of this product. I had ankle surgery four weeks ago. For the first week and a half I had too much pain to lower my leg and return to the world. Once the pain was gone, remembering life on crutches from earlier broken bones, etc., I dreaded making my way around. My doctor recommended a knee walker, and Mayo Clinic rented me one of these. Amazing. I scoot down the halls where I work, through grocery stores, anywhere with a smooth surface, even sidewalks outside. Not much effort to it, and it's no trick to balance. I did test drive another at a clinic where I live--a kneebop, I believe, and found it much less substantial and stable that the Essential Medical. If you're interested in having a knee walker, this is the one for you. My only complaint is that when you take the brakes off lock they spring up hard. One whack and next time you'll keep your fingers out of the way.

I purchased this for use after my foot surgery. I am not strong enough for crutches, and due to an old back injury I can't hop with a walker. The knee walker is perfect. I lock the wheels and use its handle bars to help me stand from a sitting position. When sitting in a chair, I can use it to elevate my foot. It easily supports my weight (>200lb) and clears the smallest doors in my house. It took a little practice, but I can now maneuver in the smallest places.

I was THRILLED to pick up my Free Spirit Knee and Leg walker today, after spending a week on crutches following Achilles tendon surgery. This device has given me a huge boost emotionally as well as practically. First of all, it's easy to navigate, and I haven't had any problems with balance or the ability to move it easily. It's compact, and rolls very smoothly and feels stable. The knee cushion is especially comfortable. The little bag in front is handy and holds even a tall cup pretty well (it's been very constraining not to even be able to get from the kitchen to the sofa with a drink you'll still need a cap on that drink though). It's narrow enough to go through smaller doorways easily, but wide enough to make me feel stable as I use it. I used it to run into Walmart for just a couple of things, and it was a breeze to use, though of course I couldn't carry much up to the checkout. The brakes work well, and you can lock them and even sit down on the little seat if you need to give your knee a break. One note though this device requires a lot less strength to use than crutches, you will still have to use your "good leg" pretty extensively. Also, the scooter is not super-light if you are weak, you may not be able to easily get it into a vehicle by yourself. I personally didn't have a real hard time leaning on the car to get to the back door and pull the scooter out, but it was a little tricky. If you have any issues with balance, you may still want to use your crutches while you're getting the scooter out of the vehicle. Also, you will have to plan your trips to use EITHER the scooter or the crutches, because you sure can't carry crutches while scooting on this thing, and it definitely will not work if you have to go up any steps. Overall, though, this little device is a real life-improver in my opinion, and I am very glad I shelled out the money for it. It's given me a level of independence that I didn't have before, and lessened both my frustration, as well as my husband's!

One note I called all over town trying to find one of these in stock somewhere, and local medical suppliers (and even my doctor) acted like they had never seen one, like this was some sort of novel, weird idea. One supplier did tell me he had stocked one at one time, but that he felt like it was dangerous, so he didn't re order it when it sold. After using this product, I don't know what he's talking about. I'll tell you what's dangerous CRUTCHES. I struggle MUCH more with balance and the fear of falling on crutches than I do using this product. I love it.

This is a really good product. The description says it fits 5'4" but I am only 5'0" and it fits me with the knee pad in the lowest position. It is sturdy and well built. I have found that I need to release the brakes by pulling up on the bottom of the loop instead of the top so I don't snap my fingers. It is actually pretty fun to use!

It's very handy, and nice to know that it's there any time we need it.

Very small and compact, light-weight.

Great for small occasions.

If you're going away for days, it's probably good, but I'd suggest something a big bigger with more materials if you're away for longer than that!

Premium Elastic Bandage with Velcro

Premium Elastic Bandage with Velcro - 4' x 11ydI bought this product after pulling my groin muscle and needed something long enough to wrap around my thigh and waist several times so I figured a product that was 11 yards would do. I was surprised when I got the product and it was only 11 feet long when it was not being stretched, 15 feet when it was stretched. I am not happy that the title is misleading and I would not suggest this product to anyone who has more than a knee injury. You may want to change the title of your product to 6" x 11ft.

These extra long bandages are good for lyphedema or patients with edema...nice texture..strong..hold their shape..and at a reasonable cost...well satisfied!!

They're awful. The elastic part is kind of icky but the worst part is the velcro on both ends. There's no good way to wrap a knee without getting pinched by the velcro. I don't recommend them.

My husband is a recent amputee and the surgeon wrapped his leg in a 4" bandage with Velcro ends. It was perfect and the other wraps we tried after arriving back home failed to perform as well.

So as always, I jumped on Amazon to locate a replacement. This wrap is exactly what he was looking for and identical to the superior wrap he left the hospital with.

Useful product, but very pricey for what it is. . . I should've purchased QuikClot instead. . .

Finger Sleeves Assorted Sizes --- 12

Finger Sleeves Assorted Sizes --- 12Amazons prices are on the high side for this item especially if of the four sizes you only have a use for two of the sizes for my thumbs. They should offer these as individual sizes in packages of 25.

I have found this item by Flents a very handy item for fingers or thumbs as they last much longer than cots do and provide a firmer support. I find them comfortable to wear for extended periods and they slip on and off easily. Remember to use the right size as the medium large fits well on my thumbs but at times I need the large size. They will fit snugly and shoud but should not cut off or retard circulation.

Think of these as an Ace bandage for thumbs and fingers as the are made out of a similar material and do provide good support.

I have been using them for about a year now but I have to find someplace cheaper to get them as I only use 7 out of the 12 in a package.

I have seen them on the net for $3.83 which is a savings of $2.05 a package. Search around as they could be handy if you have a spouse or children who could use the sizes you don't need. If you are curious about these check with your local pharmacy but call first to see if they carry them and expect to pay about $6.50 in a store.

Love these sleeves! I have osteoarhtritis in two fingers on my right hand. I wear these sleeves on those fingers during the night & wake up with flexible, pain free fingers.

These are possibly the cheapest and most poorly made product I have ever had the misfortune to buy. I have tendinitis/arthritis in my pinky finger, and the compression gloves are nice, but I wanted something just for the finger. I bought these expecting a little better quality. They immediately "ran" when first pulling them on. After about 4 wearings, the sewing along the seam started coming undone. I have worn the one about 6 times and it has run, much like stockings, barely has any elasticity left to it and is coming apart and leaving fuzzy lint everywhere. They aren't that expensive, but considering I have a multi-pack with only a few small enough for my pinky, it is rather disappointing.

I would not recommend these. Not worth the time or money invested.

Eye Care Pack, 1 Set/Box

Eye Care Pack, 1 Set/BoxThis product is not what is in the picture or what had been in my previous one. They have now changed from one bottle to two plastic bottles which I really think is a great improvement. They still have two eye pads but unfortunately they no longer provide tape so you'll need to add some tape if you need to patch an eye.

I like the two bottle system but can't imagine what they were thinking leaving no way to adhere the eye patch. I still have a roll of tape that will work fine but just be aware of the changes some may like it some may not.

I find it incomplete so I don't recommend it for anyone who doesn't have tape of the funds to buy it. I think it would be nice if they added an adherent eye patch or one with straps. Heck I'd even pay a bit more for that. Hope that helps.

CT Mask for COPD or Asthma

CT Mask by Airguard Medical - Charcoal Gray - A16619 02Bought this mask for my dad, who was experiencing respiratory issues &

lives in cold climate. The design is good and the product works very well.

Would recommend it. Only recommended improvement would be better fit over nose

which is not quite snug enough to avoid eyeglass fogging.

I live in NE illinois and my primary exercise is walking outdoors for 45 minutes 3-4 days a week. Some days are quite cold and I could feel the efects of breathing sub freezing air. I wore the mask for the first time yesterday 02/15/2013 and am overall pleased with the performance. The mask recircultates the air I exhale which is warm and moist. I wear eyeglasses which did fog up, but that was to be expected. The mask contains a removable rubberized capsule which is washable. The manufacturer recommends washing it after each use. I washed it prior to using the mask and it took about 36 hours to thoroughly dry.

Downsides are that replacement capsules are not advertised on Amazon, so if I want and extra one I will need to contact the manufacturer. Also, the shipping and handling charge was $13 plus dollars which was excessive given the container box dimensions were only 5x5x5 inches

R-7 Liquid Bandage Spray 4 Ounce

R-7 Liquid Bandage Spray 4 OunceI got this for my dog who had an open wound on his ear that wouldn't heal. It was really bothering him for awhile.. as he kept shaking his head. I felt so bad for the poor guy.

Now he isn't shaking his head anymore and the wound looks so so much better. It's starting to heal.

My Doberman has a small carcinoma on her foot and I have been trying to get it to heal with antibiotics and bandages. I first tried the 3M and it didn't work very good. This is spray and doesn't sting. I put a good coat of it on the area in the morning and night and it is finally healing after 6 months. The only thing you have to be careful to do is make sure the dog doesn't lick the area for 3-4 minutes. My dog tends to want to lick it right away and I have to sit with her so she doesn't until it dries. It lasts most of the day and after it dries she leaves it alone. I does sting a little bit but nothing major. I would recommend this.

Seems to work pretty well as a bandage, but so far it hasn't stopped or slowed down my dog from licking the wound, so it doesn't seem like the bitter taste slows him down.

L'oreal Serie Expert Absolut Repair Cellular Serum for Unisex, 1.7 Ounce

L'oreal Serie Expert Absolut Repair Cellular Serum for Unisex, 1.7 OunceI have been using the other Absolut repair products for a while (shampoo, conditioner, thermal spary, etc.) I decided to add this to the mix. I was a little unsure because it had not been reviewed, yet. I immediately noticed a difference. It leaves your hair feeling so silky and smooth (this product does not leave your hair oily at all, its not like that). I am so glad I took a chance and got it, it is a perfect addition to my absolut repair regimne.

I have curly wavy dry hair which as everyone knows is possibly THE worst combination. This L'oreal serum does wonders to my hair though. I've been using it for almost 4 years now and I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. You don't even have to put too much on. Smooth shiny hair in an instant. And even straightens out my curls a little bit which is great because I have crazy curls sometimes. Love it!

Flents Bite Relief - 14 ml/ pack, 4 pack

Flents Bite Relief - 14 ml/ pack, 4 packI had some of this that was quite old and pulled it out when I got bit by a black widow spider. It worked great and the bite was gone in a few hours. Even though we had used this for mosquitoes in the past...I am going to keep plenty on hand for other bites.

The key to this product is the benzocaine in addition to the basic ingredient. The base neutralizes the acid in the sting venom. Moreover, the benzocaine numbs the tissue so the pain quicly disappears with no desire to scratch and infect. Very convenient dispenser -we keep them everywhere!
